Caravane Dorée was launched by four hip guys who decided to revisit the sandwich with a Frenchy sauce using ingredients with high-end name dropping: 100% organic bread from Moisan, meat and veggies from Terroirs d’Avenir, the committed supplier of leading Parisian tables. In short an eco-friendly nibble that puts the spotlight on quality products.
The five recipes, imagined by the chef of l’Hôtel du Nord, are served, depending on the day, in a burger bun, bagel bread, a focaccia or a ciabatta.
We really like the Elsy with white ham, parsley pesto, veggies, all on a delicious cream cheese, the Tilde with goat cheese, marinated peppers and crunchy cucumber, as well as the Barry with Basque pork rind, cream of peas, veggies and cream cheese.
The healthy touch ? A little salad as a side order.
We give in to a sugar crave with a delicious cookie, a brownie or an irresistible cupcake.
Where to find it ? The truck rolls over to Châtillon on Monday & Wednesday and parks at Montreuil on Tuesday and Friday.
