A future hot spot in the 15th arrondissement, Amanie brasserie is nestled in a charming little house at the corner of rue du Commerce and rue des Entrepreneurs. The promise from chef Manoj Sharma? A new cosmopolitan eatery set in a stunning decor. From his restaurant Jugaad, it inherits an Indian touch; from Seoul Mama, Asian notes; and from Sir Winston, a flair for beautiful cocktails. The result: a project that’s wide open to the world, drawing influence from every corner of the globe. Let’s take a tour.
A globetrotting decor
Right away, we’re charmed by the quaint façade that feels like a tiny house in the heart of Paris. Once inside, Amanie reveals a luminous and cheerful decor by Talissa Bachelot and Alice Calemard of Adjamée studio—already behind the joyful vibes of Laia Monceau and Polpo. The codes of French brasseries blend with multicultural influences from Mediterranean countries: leather banquettes, ornate ceiling moldings, and subtle exotic touches like mosaic-tiled walls. Downstairs, the brasserie vibe prevails (with great seats facing the street), while upstairs transports you elsewhere with woven rattan, kantha textiles, and lush greenery paired perfectly with beige and olive green tones.
Let’s eat!
In this delightful setting, we begin our culinary journey, dotted with brasserie-style dishes inspired by Moroccan, Algerian, Syrian, Iranian, and even Azerbaijani flavors. Indian by origin, married to a Korean, Manoj Sharma lives for blending influences. At Amanie, he pays tribute to the spice and silk roads, unveiling a cuisine that tastes like his travels.
A must-share: the delicious warm pita bread to dip into curry hummus (€6.50), an eggplant caviar (€7.50), or—our personal favorite—an amazing red pepper cream. And how could we resist the surprising mozzarella and feta samosas (€9.50)? Then come the tender caramelized ribs (€24.50) marinated in spices, or for something lighter, the souvlaki chicken skewer served with a fattoush salad (€17.50). While the rose water panna cotta works well (€8.50), it’s the Lebanese-style brioche perdue with caramel, sesame cream, vanilla ice cream, and crunchy pistachios that truly stole our hearts (€11.50).
And you absolutely can’t skip the cocktails, a true Amanie signature. To accompany it all, sip on a tangy Red Cosmo (Bombay Sapphire gin, lemon juice, açai berry liqueur, raspberry syrup, cranberry juice, sage, €10.50) or the fruity Green Jasmin (vodka, Italicus, kiwi, bergamot, jasmine syrup, lemon juice, matcha, €10.50).
Open Sunday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Non-stop service.
