When the film director, ultimate star, icon of most Parisiennes, decrees that her darling burger is near the Tuileries, we follow her eyes closed.
Open your eyes once there, because her little delight is Place Vendôme, in a super simple café - brasserie, filled with generosity, red velvet, charming servers, a Parisian atmosphere, just like you might find in a Woody Allen film …
So what does this burger look like? A wonderful play that is not too heavy: soft golden buns, a tad sugary, like baker bread. Inside? A thick steak that is not too thick, really good cheddar… and they serve if with this mythical sauce that is like a cocktail sauce but better, phenomenal, addictive. And obviously secret. Great crispy fries.
We like… « the anti-bling », angle on the place Vendôme. The spirit of the house is the cult of good things and people who come incognito. As for us, we were treated as though we were Sophia Coppola, in person. Normal, here everyone is treated well.
The tops? It’s open from 8am to midnight every day. So no more excuses if you have not tasted it yet.
