Foodies know it well: all-you-can-eat buffets have always triggered excitement. The endless quest for the ultimate feast at a fixed price has become the holy grail for savvy gourmets, thrilled to see every euro transformed into a “profitable” indulgence. Enter Envie – Le Banquet, the brand-new concept by chef Eloy Spinnler, which just opened in the Marais. Already buzzing on Instagram, this XXL dining temple is turning heads—and making us hungry.
A Spectacular Setting
From the street, passersby can’t help but admire the charcuterie and colorful platters displayed in the window. Inside, the tone is set with a mosaic-tiled entrance, a cozy private chapel-like room with stained glass, and a winter garden–style dining hall. Past the staircase, the real show begins: a sprawling buffet stretching across from the open kitchen, where chefs prepare steaming hot dishes in real time. Upstairs, a chic bar and elegant Art Deco–inspired rooms invite groups to gather around festive banquets.
Designed by Dorénavant Studio, the project is one of the most ambitious restaurant openings of the season: 500 m² spread over two floors, dedicated to celebrating the deadly sin of envy (after Spinnler’s previous spots Orgueil and Colère). As for gluttony? The chef hints he’s saving that one for a future project…
A Feast Fit for Royalty
Once adored by royal courts from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, the banquet is making a glamorous comeback at Envie. Eloy Spinnler sources from the crème de la crème of French producers, whose names are proudly displayed at the table. The buffet itself is the main attraction, with stations dedicated to 26 French cheeses, artisanal charcuterie (rillettes, pâté en croûte, hams), fresh salads, and seafood delights.
In total, expect over a hundred dishes on display: hearty hot plates like kebab and fries, trout with caponata, creamy mushroom omelets, gnocchi cacio e pepe, and golden roast chicken.
And for the grand finale? A dessert buffet you’ll want to save room for. Think pillowy madeleines, rich chocolate mousse, cannelés, rice pudding, chewy cookies, and fresh fruit salad—sweet bites that promise a memorable ending to the feast.
Zero Waste Bonus
Guests who finish every plate (no leftovers allowed!) are rewarded with a surprise, as Envie proudly champions an anti-food waste philosophy.
Open daily from 12 pm to 3 pm (from 11 am on weekends) and from 7 pm to midnight.
