We never get tired of them!
The most Scandinavian

No need to hop on a flight to Copenhagen to taste their famous breakfast plate. The Scandinavian coffee shop Résidence Kann, tucked away just steps from Canal Saint-Martin, has made these ultra-complete and indulgent plates its specialty. No frills here, just quality : a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, thin slices of young Comté aged 6–8 months, delicious gluten-free dark bread and whipped herb butter to die for. Pair it with a latte or cappuccino to fully embrace your inner scandi girl.
Résidence Kann, 28 rue des Vinaigriers, Paris 10e. Scandinavian Breakfast at €9. Open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm and weekends from 10am to 6:30pm.
The most indulgent

The go-to choice for eternal food lovers who prefer their eggs in a sweet version. At La Coupole, you can enjoy a stunning XXL floating island, served in a large bowl and literally floating on its sea of crème anglaise (€9.50). For crunch : slivered almonds. For pure comfort-food bliss: salted butter caramel drizzled over the top.
La Coupole, 102 boulevard du Montparnasse, Paris 14e. Open daily, continuously from 8am to midnight.

The most veggie

The sexiest veggie brunch in the Marais that draws all of Paris ? Maslow Temple, of course. We went for brunch and left genuinely smitten. Special mention goes to the soft-boiled egg with seaweed caviar, whipped cream and brioche soldiers: one bite is enough to make you swear you’ll be back. The briny caviar, creamy texture and pillowy brioche strike the perfect balance…
Maslow Temple, 32 rue de Picardie, Paris 3e. Brunch served every Sunday from 11:15am to 4pm. Brunch menu at €32 per person, or €39 with a cocktail. Reservations on sevenrooms.com.

The most spicy

The cutest coffee shop in the Marais serves up Turkish eggs for a spicy egg fix. At Café Berry, they’re poached and served with garlic confit labneh, homemade chili oil, fresh herbs, spice-roasted chickpeas, and sourdough bread from Le Petit Grain bakery (€14). The extra touch ? You can pimp them with optional add-ons like caramelized bacon or avocado for even more indulgence.
Café Berry, 10 rue Chapon, Paris 3e. Open Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5pm and weekends from 10am to 5:30pm.
The most couture

Christian Dior looooved devouring soft-boiled eggs topped with a generous spoonful of caviar. This ultra-snobbish treat can be found at La Maison Nordique, which offers both takeaway seafood products (salmon hearts, taramas, catering…) and sit-down dining at its historic address near Place des Ternes. All day long, you can sit down to enjoy two organic soft-boiled eggs with classic soldiers and a generous serving of caviar (€44). The richness of the egg yolk mingling with the black gold pearls on the tongue is a memorable sensation : one to try at least once in a lifetime.
La Maison Nordique, 221 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris 8e. Restaurant open continuously during shop hours: Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7:30pm.
The most British

If you’ve never tried Scotch Eggs, it’s high time you did. Public House, the stunning pub designed by Laura Gonzalez near Opéra Garnier, has become our go-to HQ whenever London starts to feel far away. Order this Scottish delight : a soft-boiled egg wrapped in sausage-meat-style stuffing, deep-fried and served with tartar sauce (€11.50). Total banger, right ?
Public House Paris, 21 rue Daunou, Paris 2e. Open daily, continuously from 8am to 2am.
The most Iberian

Do we still need to sing the praises of Casa Pregonda, this charming address inspired by Menorca and its laid-back lifestyle ? Alexandre Giesbert’s (Daroco) new restaurant delivers inspired Iberian dishes, including a lineup of irresistibly addictive tortillas. Choose from: Wild mushrooms & Manchego (€16), Pimentón mayonnaise & txistorra (€17), or – on those “everything’s going wrong” nights – Raw cream & Osciètre caviar (€39). Best enjoyed with their signature pear and bergamot sangria…
Casa Pregonda, 6 rue Marie Stuart, Paris 2e. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 7pm to midnight.

The most truffled

We don’t think often enough about dining at Maison de la Truffe, the venerable institution established in 1932 on Place de la Madeleine. At the “jeweler of the culinary diamond,” every dish on the menu can, of course, be crowned with a cloud of freshly grated truffle. Our top picks? Eggs in all forms, starting with the exquisite omelet and salad (€39), scrambled eggs (€39), or fried eggs with truffle, Iberian Bellota ham and Périgueux sauce (€49). Special mention for the wood-paneled setting – both calm and luxurious – which feels like stepping into old-world Paris.
Maison de la Truffe, 19 place de la Madeleine, Paris 8e.01 42 65 53 22. Restaurant open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 4pm (limited menu after 3pm) and from 7pm to 10:30pm (limited menu after 10pm). Shop open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 10:30pm.
The most Japanese

Omurice? Straight from Japan (omu = omelet & rice = rice), this runny rolled omelet hiding fried rice inside is the star of the restaurant of the same name, located just steps from Palais-Royal and rue Sainte-Anne, famous for its Asian eateries. Available in multiple versions : veggie (€13.90), chicken curry (€14.90), veal stock and reduced beef gravy (€13.90), or even the tornado version with its impossible-to-recreate-at-home look. The most fun part ? Cutting it open lengthwise so the omelet oozes out in the sexiest way possible.
Omurice, 10 rue de Port-Mahon, Paris 2e. Open daily from 12pm to 2:30pm and in the evening from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
The most southern

For an instant vacation vibe in Paris, simply book a table at Mimosa - Riviera Cuisine, the Mediterranean restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Jean-François Piège, nestled in the courtyard of Hôtel de la Marine. In Dorothée Delaye’s stunning seaside-inspired décor, you’ll savor sun-drenched cuisine and signature starters : classic mimosa eggs (€6) or, even better, a pimped-up version with dill and salmon roe (€12). Their added value ? An irresistibly creamy texture !
