The stylish festivities inside the parisiennes’ favourite department store

Decoration at the Champs Elysees Galleries Lafayette for christam 2019

If you feel like making your desires for coolness take place along with the unbelievable and delicious charm of Christmas, seek no further… We have just the right address where to spend your Sunday!

The rendezvous is taken at the heart of the smallest and most popular "department store" in Paris on the Champs-Élysées, incubated by the Galeries Lafayette, highlighting a very “trendy Christmas spirit.” We don’t know whether it’s going to be you, the kids, Simon Porte Jacquemus or Jeanne Damas who will be the most excited. But one thing is for sure, in December on the weekend, this is where it’s happening.

Chocolate and warm wine

The hot chocolate of Pierre Marcolini, belgium chocolatier at Champs-Élysées Galeries Lafayette

There is also good news for foodies. The first passage takes place in “the” district’s real tavern of Ali Baba with an incredible food court where all the products are sourced by Julien Pham.

On the shelves: the best dealers of top notch products in Paris—to be enjoyed on the spot or to like on a market: Comptoir Verot, the most influent charcutier in the capital with his cult pâtés en croûte, the super cool Niçois and their pissaladière or pizza with truffle and burrata. And let’s not forget Little Zhao, kid brother of the most desirable Chinese restaurant in Paris, where one finds amazing noodles and dumplings.

As for the Yuletide spirit, there is Yard, the eating cellar everyone is talking about, which serves a very heartening warm wine during the holiday period, while Pierre Marcolini, the leading Belgian chocolatier, whips up an incredible hot chocolate. And believe us, they are definitely worth a detour!

The paradise for kids on sunday

Hello Kitty pop-up decoration with the Christmas father for picture

We all agree it’s fun to have your picture taken with Santa. Posing with Father Christmas + Hello Kitty, is a little bit the Grail of little Parisiennes. Installed every Sunday at the level of the mini Hello Kitty pop-up, it’s a must to sit down and pose with Santa Claus … before picking up a few accessories from the kawai label, or even better, indulging in a biscuit or latte featuring the pop icon in milky mousse. #joy

Cherry on the cake: to spread cheer and make your Insta vibrate to the tune of Jingle Bells, an enchanting choir will be present every Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.

Another pleasurable moment: enabling the kids to have fun during a very stylish customisation workshop, starting at 5 years old, Saturday the 14th of December at 3pm while you will be happily going about your Xmas shopping between the coolest sneakers stand in Paris or wild accessories and drinks at Citron, the café opened by Jacquemus in person at the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées.
