Defined by Porte Saint-Martin, Père-Lachaise, Nation and Place de la Bastille, the almost rectangular shape of the 11th arrondissement surrounds some of the coolest addresses in Paris. The cool kids of the East gather here to toast in a new American-style dive bar, curl up in a hotel designed like a true pied-à-terre, brunch all week long in stylish coffee shops, book ultra-specialized creative workshops and put together beautiful flower bouquets. Our best addresses to experience the neighborhood like a local are right here!
Superfine

Do you know the concept of a “dive bar”? These made-in-USA hideaways with a slightly outdated style, soaked in their own charm, offer their loyal regulars affordable drinks. In short: the kind of place where you come to toast with friends and avoid going broke in a cool atmosphere. Paris now has its own trendy version with Superfine, freshly opened in the 11th arrondissement, of course. Bye bye anti-glam, welcome the French Touch!
Inside, the décor is minimalist but keeps the raw spirit of the neighborhood bar with brick walls, large mirrors and candles on every table. The star of the place? The central stainless steel bar where everyone gathers to admire the bartenders, dressed in diner-style American uniforms, preparing their signature cocktails (€14). On the food side, the portions are anything but small and evoke sexy, relaxed street food: Vegetarian Katsu Eggplant Burger (€12), Sausage Dog with Guinness gravy (€13), Caesar Salad (€9), soft Puff Pizza topped with ricotta, butter-harissa sauce and honey (€13). The little extra: on Fridays and Saturdays, Superfine comes alive with exciting DJ sets, paying tribute to the musical spirit of the Motel Bar that used to occupy the space.
Superfine, 8 passage Josset, Paris 11th. Open Wednesday to Friday from 6pm to 2am, Saturday from 4pm and Sunday from 4pm to midnight.
New Hotel Le Voltaire

Caroline and Camille Antoun have taken over the New Hotel label founded by their father. First step in building their vision: an address made in Oberkampf, designed like an even better Parisian pied-à-terre. The pleasure of a fully comfortable hotel with the lifestyle of a real home, starting with a stunning lobby: terrazzo floor, the iconic DS-600 sofa by Sede, 70’s armchairs and Charlotte Perriand wall lights.
The extra touch: discreet guests will love it. No bar, no restaurant where you might run into “the wrong people.” Instead, there is a coffee shop and a terrace where you can settle in for breakfast just like at home. In the evening, if hunger strikes, the front desk will happily send up a bottle of champagne and your UberEats delivery.
New Hotel Le Voltaire, 3 rue Pétion, Paris 11th. 01 43 79 02 33. From €179 per night.
Faaï

After delighting the 20th arrondissement with her first Parisian restaurant Naam, chef Anne Coppin has just opened her brand-new table, Faaï, just steps away from Bastille. The concept? Celebrating Thai cuisine through fire (faaï means fire in Thai) in a setting that feels both elegant and warm. The menu highlights both traditional dishes and lesser-known specialties, from stir-fried vegetable phad (€14) to green papaya salad (€12). Tradition requires that all dishes are served at the same time to guarantee perfect balance between flavors.
Our recommendation: the Yam-Som o-Kung salad with Asian pomelos, glazed prawns and coconut. With that, order the Khao Phad Het — incredibly flavorful fried rice with mushrooms. The must-eat? The meltingly tender Massaman beef (€26) or the braised Yang-Isan chicken (€24), flirting with perfection, all paired with a sharp selection of natural wines and non-alcoholic drinks like a glass of hibiscus (€5.50). Finish beautifully with the peanut mystery dessert (pure madness), before leaving this sensory boudoir with only one idea in mind: coming back for more. The Thai slap we were waiting for!
Faaï, 15 rue Trousseau, Paris 11th. Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 7pm to 11pm. Tasting menus from €59.

Causier

A new hype spot, Causier has settled into the 11th arrondissement like an obvious choice, on the Faidherbe side. From the moment you walk in, you fall for this New York workshop atmosphere with raw walls, stainless steel reflecting the light, contemporary furniture and large pale blue wooden tables that soften the whole space. Behind a small porthole window, the kitchen is buzzing while the large mineral bar structures the room. The result: a place halfway between a sharp coffee shop, an inspiration studio and a living room where you could spend the entire day brunching, working or simply hanging out.
No need to wait for Sunday: at Causier, brunch is served all week long! Start with an iced vanilla-twisted matcha latte to get things going (€6). Then come the mouth-watering plates: the classic Breakfast (€20) includes two eggs, roasted mushrooms and tomatoes, golden potatoes, avocado, salad and toasted bread, with the option to upgrade with bacon for the hungriest ones. More into seafood? The salmon bagel (€16) layers smoked salmon, cream cheese, dill, red onions, capers, tomatoes and pickles for that perfect acidic touch in every bite. On the sweet side, impossible to resist the banana french toast (€15): golden brioche, whipped mascarpone, caramelized cashews and melting banana.
Causier, 50 rue de Montreuil, Paris 11th. Open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Klin d’Œil

Looking for a crafty afternoon? Head to Klin d’Œil, a boutique created by two sisters passionate about DIY, where they showcase their favorite creators. But what we love most is booking one of their workshops: weaving, screen printing, silk painting, lipstick making, ceramic decoration or embroidery, all led by the creators themselves. A rare detail: you’ll also find ultra-niche workshops to create Kitchen Engravings, brass wall jewelry, creative journals or even miniature artworks. A whole program!
The prices? Count around €60 for a punch needle class (that special embroidery needle for the prettiest result ever) and €50 for a still life drawing workshop with pencils. Of course, everyone leaves with their own creation to proudly display at home.
Klin d’Œil, 6 rue Deguerry, Paris 11th. 01 77 15 22 30. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 2pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
Les Indécises

Just steps away from Parmentier, Les Indécises is one of those places that tells the story of Paris. Open since the 1960s, this neighborhood café has seen generations come and go without ever losing its soul, and was recently taken over by Nicolas Schweri, a local child and passionate lover of old-school bistros. Red banquettes, a zinc counter, a terrace and woven rattan chairs: everything here breathes the Parisian café we love. Open continuously from morning until late at night, people come for a coffee at the counter, a long lunch or a date they don’t want to leave.
On the menu, there’s a starter, main course and dessert formula (€27): fresh smoked salmon, cream cheese and fennel, eggs mayo, perfectly cooked beef onglet, croque-monsieur with comté cheese and ham, a generous and comforting cheeseburger served with crispy fries and salad… And of course, impossible to skip dessert: brioche-style French toast with salted butter caramel and vanilla ice cream, or a perfectly vanilla crème brûlée.
Les Indécises, 2 rue des Trois Bornes, Paris 11th. 01 43 57 26 00. Open every day from 8am to 2am.
Maison Huguette

Maison Huguette is the jewelry boutique you absolutely have to visit in the 11th arrondissement. Its wide selection of incredibly desirable pieces at friendly prices is not its only asset: you’ll also find workshops and events centered around jewelry, where piercers and sometimes even tattoo artists gather for a cool and effortless moment. The program changes every week and can be discovered directly on their Instagram page.
Here, every piece is delicate, discreet and perfectly on trend. You’ll find rings, necklaces, bracelets and piercings, perfect for adding an elegant touch to your look without overdoing it. Among our favorites: the Falun ring (€59), ideal for those who love bolder jewelry and aren’t afraid to mix silver and gold. On the opposite side, the Humble bracelet (€50), shaped like a fine chain, charms with its simplicity and refinement. If you love piercings and layering tiny hoops, you’ll also find beautiful gold-plated pieces starting from €20. For piercings, prices vary depending on the artists present. No appointment needed, you simply have to show up on the right day.
Maison Huguette, 38 rue Sedaine, Paris 11th. Open Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 7:30pm, Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 10:30am to 6:30pm.
Désirée Fleurs

A committed concept created by Audrey Venant and Mathilde Bignon, Désirée Fleurs has four boutiques across Paris, including a trendy florist café in the 11th arrondissement. Their mission? Going fully local. They create wild, countryside-inspired bouquets with seasonal flowers and 100% French dried flowers (seasonal bunches from €15, bouquets from €35). Another unique feature: ready-to-use kits to plant your own balcony vegetable garden, with a selection of perennials and aromatic herbs.
What we love: the bouquet + wine pairing, with a bottle of natural wine selected by David, the wine merchant from Substrats, following the same committed spirit as the florists. Birds of a feather flock together. New: a sparkling alcohol-free drink is coming to the boutique very soon.
Désirée Fleurs, 5 rue de la Folie Méricourt, Paris 11th. 06 50 87 64 21. Open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 7:30pm, Tuesday from 11am, and Sunday from 10am to 1pm.
Dancefloor Paris

Taking your BFF out one evening or over the weekend to try a Bollywood, Broadway Jazz, Reggaeton, Classical, Popstar or Heels dance class: that’s the highly feel-good and totally carefree promise of Dancefloor Paris, which organizes some of the friendliest dance classes in the capital every day in the heart of the 11th arrondissement (and the 8th too!). Is there one specific song you’re obsessed with? You can also book two-hour masterclasses on weekends and public holidays, dedicated to pure good vibes sessions on Umbrella, Run the World (Girls) or When I Grow Up, just to wake up the Queen inside you.
Created by a former corporate lawyer and the ex-head of communications at Station F, Dancefloor Paris aims to make dance accessible for everyone who dreams of an ultra-chill place to let loose, whether for a one-shot class here and there or with a monthly subscription, in an atmosphere that instantly makes you feel comfortable. Beyond the beautiful dance studios: a coffee shop at the entrance with juices and healthy snacks, a fully pink locker room worthy of a luxury hotel with sauna, lockers, hairdryers, showers and towels available… Special mention for the beautiful dance t-shirts to grab for a cool but sharp athleisure look worthy of Un, Dos, Tres.
Dancefloor Paris, 112 rue du Chemin Vert, Paris 11th. Open every day.
La Belle Boucle

After winning over Parisian women with its first salon on rue du Sentier, La Belle Boucle is doing it again and setting up shop near Bastille. From the entrance, you discover a boutique entirely dedicated to curly hair, followed by a colorful, floral and light-filled salon: the kind of place that instantly makes you want to take care of your curls again. Every corner breathes #treatyourself: here, uncomfortable shampoo chairs are forgotten, replaced by massage armchairs and a team that knows exactly how to tame your curls. Their mission? Helping you reconnect with your natural hair once and for all.
We tested the Curly Hair Routine (€115), a 1h30 treatment that begins with an ultra-precise hair diagnosis. Then comes a relaxing shampoo, a hydrating and detangling treatment, followed by a haircut on wet or dry hair depending on your needs. Everything ends with a diffuser styling session that brings your curls back to life. The result: beautifully redefined spirals like you’ve never imagined before, restored shine and above all, that feeling of lightness you thought was impossible to achieve.
La Belle Boucle Studio, 113 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, Paris 11th. Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm. Online booking available.
