The Louvre, Rue Saint-Honoré, the Tuileries... It's hard to get more touristy than the bustling heart of the capital, which houses true gems of French heritage. True Parisians also know that, from Palais-Royal to Vendôme, you can dine in the most beautiful tea rooms and the most prodigious restaurants of the moment, between two breathtaking cultural visits.

Très Confidentiel

Hidden near the Jardins du Palais-Royal, Très Confidentiel is the whispered address of Parisians with perfect hair, where actresses from the Comédie-Française, politicians, and even Sophie Marceau cross paths. At the helm, Adrien Coelho, a celebrity hairstylist who has worked with stars from Paris Hilton to Axelle Red, has brought his scissors to this minimalist cocoon after shining on shoots for the biggest fashion magazines. His approach? A bespoke technique based on morphopsychology to reveal each client's personality. Among his specialties: the art of blonde hair, which he enhances with precise techniques (a custom contouring) to add depth, radiance, and naturalness. As a bonus, his Coelho Beauty line, inspired by skincare technologies, pampers the scalp and hair for top-notch hair health.

Très Confidentiel, 44 Gal de Montpensier, Paris 1er, 06 61 52 84 33, Wednesday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Château Voltaire

Location ? The corner of Rue Saint-Roch and Avenue de l’Opéra, where Thierry Gillier—founder of Zadig & Voltaire—opened his first five-star hotel inside the brand’s former headquarters. A place that instantly sparked enthusiasm… How to describe the atmosphere? A spot that is both chic and effortlessly cool, echoing the laid-back celebrity vibe of Château Marmont and the unmistakable style of London’s Chiltern Firehouse. A striking name, a listed façade recognizable from afar, signature carpeting all over Instagram, standout service, a fashionable brasserie, and 32 sublime rooms designed to last. No wonder the fashion crowd has made it their HQ.

Château Voltaire, 55 Rue Saint-Roch, Paris 1st. Rooms from €630.

La Chambre

la chambre concept store

Attention fashion lovers on the hunt for new gems: concept store La Chambre recently opened just steps from the Tuileries Garden. Designed like a department store, the 150-m² space unfolds into several curated corners where heritage brands meet emerging eco-responsible labels. Among the highlights: 70s-inspired tailoring by Pallas, upcycled creations from Françoise, customizable shoes by Chamberlan, vintage treasures from Bygone Days, playful jewelry by Hypso, and the prêt-à-couture label The Ethiquette.

La Chambre, 5 Rue Rouget de Lisle, Paris 1st.

Palais-Royal Restaurant

A discreet address you may never have heard of—yet with two Michelin stars, Philip Chronopoulos’ table is the perfect spot for a sunny lunch in the most beautiful garden in Paris. The menu unfolds gracefully with divine Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as the unforgettable red mullet – saffron – peas – kaffir… followed by desserts like the rum-baba-and-coffee you simply must finish, just as Southern grandmothers would expect! Resistance is futile…

Tea Time

Sébastien Gaudard : The meeting spot for today’s new Parisian élégantes is this chic, Vendôme-inspired tea boudoir opened by Sébastien Gaudard, the virtuoso pâtissier from Rue des Martyrs, just opposite the Tuileries. His passion? Reviving the old-school French tea-salon tradition in a charming retro-cool setting. Among the refined, nostalgic treats, our obsession is a caramelized choux filled with light cream and topped with crunchy caramel. Another must-try: the universally adored Paris-Brest. Caramelized choux : €8.20.

Maison Verlet : Upstairs in this Downton Abbey-like décor hides a cozy salon perfect for quiet chats away from prying ears. Their signature drink is their artisanal grand-cru coffee, roasted just steps away in their own Palais-Royal roastery. To pair with your legendary iced latte: homemade waffles with whipped cream and chocolate sauce (€9.50), caramel Fontainebleau (€6.70), or a red-berry pavlova, mmm ! 256 Rue Saint Honoré, Paris 1st.

Café Kitsuné : A must-stop in the tiny coffee shop of the fox-branded label, opening right onto the Palais-Royal garden under the Montpensier arcade. While waiting in the (sometimes long) queue, you can discreetly spot incognito stars behind their Ray-Bans waiting for their specialty coffee, flat white or chai latte. We also order a carrot cake on the side, or drop by at lunchtime for a cheeky chicken katsu sando with mayo. 51 Galerie de Montpensier, Paris 1st.

Angelina : The most iconic tea room in Paris, opened in 1903 on Rue de Rivoli and once Gabrielle Chanel’s HQ. Its mythic aura and stunning Art Nouveau décor make it worth visiting at least once in a lifetime, and why not more ? Since reservations aren’t possible anymore, slip in at tea time to taste the house must-tries: a perfect club sandwich, the signature Mont-Blanc, a millefeuille or éclair, and of course the legendary hot chocolate with whipped cream.
226 Rue de Rivoli, Paris 1st. Tea time €25,90.

Butterfly Pâtisserie : It doesn’t get more charming than Matthieu Carlin, pastry chef at the Crillon, whose beautiful creations and ice creams delight us all year. He recently opened Butterfly, an adorable storybook-like tea salon filled with birds, butterflies, woodwork, marble tables, and plush sofas, straight out of Alice in Wonderland. For a five-star afternoon tea, order: pear tart with grilled vanilla and pecan praline, Sicilian pistachio millefeuille with fleur de sel, incredible Tahitian-vanilla flan, or a Paris-Brest, mmm… Pair it with comforting old-fashioned hot chocolate or a silky latte.10 Place de la Concorde, Paris 8th.

Nhome : For jaded foodies who think they’ve seen it all—think again. Here’s the winning combo: a unique surprise menu, a gorgeous vaulted cellar, and ultra-chill service. Chef Matan Zaken dreamed of a gastronomic restaurant where cooks personally bring each dish to the table, telling the story of a blind tasting menu evolving with market arrivals: smoked eel, foie gras, onion and turnip broth, asparagus with seaweed and wild garlic, blue lobster with artichoke… When do we come back? 41 rue de Montpensier, Paris 1st. Tasting menu €155, wine pairing €90.

Bar Hemingway

A once-in-a-lifetime Parisian experience: slip into your best stilettos and sink into a leather armchair at the Ritz’s Bar Hemingway for a palace-style drink from another era. While the Ritz’s genius mixologist Romain de Courcy draws cocktail connoisseurs, we adore the plush, club-like atmosphere of this bar that was the adventurer-author’s HQ. Anne-Sophie Prestail crafts bespoke cocktails that always impress, served with hot dogs and mini burgers. Our tip? Since they don’t take reservations, aim for dinner-time hours to snag a seat.

Bar Hemingway at Ritz Paris, 15 Place Vendôme, Paris 1st. Cocktails €35.

Alfred

This chic brasserie, nestled on the street where Alfred de Musset once lived, ticks every box: Mondrian-inspired décor and refined, gourmet bistronomy. The chef reimagines bourgeois bistro classics, delighting from the start with eggs mayonnaise topped with grated yolk and caviar or a punchy caramelized-shallot tarte tatin, followed by juicy beef tenderloin with pepper-whisky sauce. For dessert, don’t miss the decadent molten chocolate cake with peanut-butter heart.

Alfred, 8 Rue du Mont-Thabor, Paris 1st. Beef fillet €33

Rehab

Your date will be speechless. Head to the Normandy Hotel, nicknamed “Le Chantier” as it stays open during renovations. Behind a hidden door, a narrow spiral staircase (careful with heels!) takes you to Rehab, the most coveted speakeasy of the moment. In a dim, sensual setting, lounge on an antique opium bed while sipping spectacular cocktails featuring smoke, infusions, double glasses, striking garnishes, and unexpected flavors, including some CBD potions…

Rehab, 7 Rue de l’Echelle, Paris 1st. Cocktails €17.

Hôtel de la Marine

hotel de la marine

On Place de la Concorde, the former royal furniture storage has become a Parisian palace in spirit. After serving as the Ministry of the Navy, this emblematic monument of French elegance and craftsmanship has returned to its original purpose, showcasing offices, dining rooms, apartments, and bathrooms that recreate the 18th-century aristocratic lifestyle. A must-see again and again—especially after enjoying breakfast at Café Lapérouse at the entrance.
