There’s more to life than maki ! Japanese cuisine, known for its variety and surprising flavors, is one of the most refined and complex in the world. While it takes decades of training to master the skills of a sushi master, the Do It Team has found workshops that will teach you how to recreate truly addictive Japanese specialties at home. Ramen, gyozas, bentos, mochis and dorayakis will soon hold no secrets for you. Chopsticks ready !
The Most Traditional

Bento is a traditional Japanese complete meal, usually made up of rice, vegetables, condiments, fish or meat, neatly arranged in a compartmentalized box (the bento). During this workshop, Japanese chef Sanae will explain the benefits of using this ultra-practical box before heading to the kitchen to prepare traditional Japanese dishes such as takara bukuro (an egg-yolk-based dessert) or Kyoto-style salad.
The Most Comforting

If there’s one Japanese dish we all love, it’s ramen : a delicious soy sauce or miso broth topped with melt-in-your-mouth pork slices, noodles, vegetables and eggs. Suitable for both beginners and aspiring chefs, this class will teach you how to cook this iconic Japanese dish, along with gyozas, delicious stuffed dumplings, pan-fried and steamed. Comfort food at its finest!
The Cutest

Nope, mochis are not meant to be frozen ! Traditionally, this dessert is enjoyed at room temperature and filled with sweet red bean paste or black sesame ganache. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to shape these plump little treats on the back of your hand before enjoying them freely at the end of the class. Yum !
The Most Indulgent

Imagine a fluffy pancake generously filled with anko, a sweet red bean paste : that’s dorayaki ! Ultra-delicious, this Japanese pastry is becoming increasingly trendy. During this class, Agathe, a passionate Japanese food enthusiast, will guide you through the preparation of this delightful dessert, enjoyed alongside a cup of tea. Finger-licking good!
