Paris is a party! And when it comes to ideas for enjoying the cocktail hour, Parisians are not left behind. To satisfy the cravings for chic drinks with your loved one or with friends, cocktail bars compete with glamor and exciting recipes concocted by increasingly sophisticated mixologists. The Do It In Paris afterwork team has dedicated themselves to exploring the new addresses that are making waves. Cheers !
The Most Rock’n’Roll : Isadora

Just a stone’s throw from the Bourse de Commerce, Isadora gathers a crowd as eclectic as it is eccentric : Parisian night riders, lovers of fine spirits, cocktail aesthetes and creative minds who enjoy music and unexpected encounters. The spirit of the place is that of a cozy refuge halfway between a tavern and an electric lounge, like home only better. Whether you come alone or as a pair, you will most certainly leave very well accompanied
Love Potions : Here, guests savor refined yet accessible cocktails, as the team appreciates perfectly executed classics while also offering highly creative proposals such as the Club des 27 menu, a nod to great rock icons who passed away at 27. Brian Jones features Gin Anaë, olives, Savanna Lontan mango, a spice blend and a carbonated finish 15 €. Janis Joplin blends Tequila 1800, cherry, vanilla, sunflower seeds and spices 15 €. Each creation draws inspiration from a musical universe, a personality or an era. A brand new creative menu is arriving very soon
Chic Bites : Because the party never truly ends at midnight, Isadora offers sharing boards until 5am. Guests fall for the delicious Patanegra 22 €, the divine truffle ham 16 € and the traditional stracciatella 18 €. The perfect way to prolong conversations, drinks and perhaps lovely encounters
Isadora, 60 rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Paris 1er. Open Sunday to Wednesday from 7pm to 3am and Thursday to Saturday until 5am
The Most 70’s : Little Red Door

Little Red Door reopens its famous red door after a complete makeover. The two new managers, who are also co founders of The Cambridge Public House, have reinvented the former New York style speakeasy cocktail bar by adding a touch of softness and cocooning comfort. The mood promises a guaranteed plunge into the enveloping warmth of the 70s. Between the cozy bar armchairs, the soft and subdued lighting, the comforting materials and the intimate mezzanine with its leopard print carpet, guests feel wrapped in a cocoon. And just wait until you see what happens inside the glasses
Love Potions : The ambiance may be new, but the excellence of the cocktails remains unchanged. The menu features 11 potions, all priced at 16 €, each inspired by an agricultural practice and made with 100 percent French ingredients. A favorite is the indulgent Permaculture, blending chestnut, butter, umeshu wakaze and Avallen calvados. Another highlight is Solaire, composed of black tea, green walnut milk, Cointreau and cognac. The more adventurous opt for the surprising Carbone with beetroot, black garlic, smoked gin and unaged Dartigalongue, a true delight. As a bonus, two ephemeral cocktails are created every month to match the flavors of the season
Chic Bites : To satisfy small cravings, guests can enjoy olives 6 €, a charcuterie plate 13 € or a cheese plate 12 € to share
Little Red Door, 60 rue Charlot, Paris 3e. Open daily from 5pm to 2am
The Most Breathtaking : Bonnie - Le Bar

Perched on the 16th floor of the SO/Paris Hotel overlooking the Seine on the quai Henri IV side, the now cult bar Bonnie continues to attract the fashion crowd and Parisian night owls. With Île Saint Louis at its feet and a breathtaking view over the capital’s most beautiful monuments, it boasts a sensual atmosphere enhanced by midnight blue carpeting, cream sofas and a grand black stone bar. Keep your eyes open, as it is not uncommon to spot celebrities from the worlds of fashion, sport and cinema. On Sundays from 6pm to 10pm, a DJ set brings the week to a festive and distinctly Parisian close
Love Potions : The bold cocktail menu draws inspiration from the 60s and 70s, beginning with Golden Dawn made with Cognac Martell VS, sauvignon, jasmine and citrus 22 €, or Tropical Drift blending Mezcal Del Maguey Vida, Tequila Don Julio Blanco, pineapple, coconut and guava 22 €. Also noteworthy is the alcohol free Solar Twist with passion fruit, green tabasco, lime and soda 15 €
Chic Bites : The food offering includes crab claws with mayonnaise 28 €, wagyu beef tartare tacos 25 €, a cheddar hot dog with relish sauce 16 € and, for those with a sweet tooth, a chocolate soufflé tart with hazelnut ice cream 18 €
Bonnie - Le Bar, 10 rue Agrippa d’Aubigné, Paris 4e. Open daily from 4pm to 2am without reservation.

The most scholarly: Le Bar 1802

Inside the Hôtel Monte-Cristo, located in the 5th arrondissement, Le Bar 1802 exudes an exotic-chic atmosphere with velvet banquettes, wicker chairs, precious woods, colorful azulejos, and lush plants. Its 1,600 rum references have earned it the title of "largest rum bar in France!" But Le Bar 1802 is also passionate about materials, the common thread of its new cocktail menu designed by Donovan Chouari and Paul-Antoine Herbet, a duo of endlessly creative alchemists. Wondering what leather, porcelain, or wicker might taste like? You’re in the right place!
Love potions : These cocktails create an original dialogue between materials, textures and flavors, driven by astonishing attention to detail and a masterful blend of the world’s finest spirits. The extra touch is that all the glassware is crafted by artisans. Among the standout creations, the Plastique cocktail is candy pink with a tangy texture and a nostalgic bubblegum flavor achieved through a meticulous balance of hibiscus infused grog, raspberry eau de vie and osmanthus cordial. The exhilarating Céramique cocktail plays with a crispy texture by blending Matusalem 15 year rum, Amaro Santoni, olive leaves and rhubarb, Quintinye Rouge, rhubarb Schorle and Verjus. We also fall for the delicacy of the Porcelaine cocktail served in a black and white teacup, with a subtle sticky effect brought by its rice milk base. Cocktails (17 €), alcohol free version (10 €).
Chic Bites : Perfect for sharing, the menu features a creamy pearl barley risotto with roasted oyster mushrooms, garlic, parsley and satay (15 €), a playful eggplant caviar with tahini yogurt 9 € and a whole selection of other dishes that vary depending on seasonal arrivals
Le 1802, Hôtel Monte Cristo Paris, 22 rue Pascal, Paris 5e. 01 40 09 09 09. Open daily from 4 PM to 1 AM

The most Cuban: Manigua

Since its opening, Manigua has become the new HQ for epicurean travelers who seek warmth in exotic flavors and the hospitality of Reinaldo Lorenzo Veloz, the master of the house. Nestled in the vibrant 9th arrondissement, Manigua offers a beloved terrace, a large restaurant space, and—most importantly—a breathtaking speakeasy, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Paris. Designed in two sections, adorned with plush carpets and a stunning library, the space boasts a vast wooden bar illuminated by vintage lamps and a boudoir-style lounge with a mirrored ceiling, inviting guests to suspend time. All of this is set to a curated Latin jazz playlist, sometimes enhanced by live piano performances. Are we still in Paris?
Love potions : The menu lists around twenty cocktails including classics such as Mojito, Margarita, Spritz and Bloody Mary (12 €). The real highlights are the tropical and Latin creations like the robust Expresso Martini Cubano, blending amber rum infused with tonka beans, coffee liqueur, coffee and vanilla syrup (16 €), or the fiery Caipiriña Tropical lifted with chili (16 €). Like a breath of fresh air, the Alicante Fresh combines gin, basil, ginger, green apple liqueur, lime and Club soda (16 €). Special mention goes to the mocktails that guarantee a true escape 10 €
Chic Bites : In keeping with the spirit of the house, enjoy fiery finger food tapas such as ham croquetas 12 €, vegetable and cheese escalivada empanadas 12 € or grilled octopus 12 €. A must try is the salt cod fritters 12 €
Manigua, 7 rue Choron, Paris 9e. 01 40 35 02 91. Open Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 2 AM

The Most Decorative: Marta

Love potions : As stunning as it is, Marta remains above all an outstanding cocktail bar. A clear favorite is the delicate Verger d’Été made with Champagne, Saint Germain, Campari and pear eau de vie (22 €), along with the promising Jardin Passion crafted with Pisco Wagar, passion fruit, vanilla and lime (22 €). Among the classic options, the playful Pornstar Martini blending vodka, passion fruit purée, Passoa and a shot of Champagne (20 €) is always a safe bet

The Rum-Addict's Paradise: Monastic

Things are moving in Issy-les-Moulineaux! Just five minutes from the metro, the Domaine de la Reine Margot Paris Issy - MGallery hotel has settled into a 17th-century building, once home to Reine Margot herself for nine years, followed by 300 years of priests. The setting? A vast classified garden, a brand-new building designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, a bistronomic restaurant, a classic (albeit stunning) cocktail bar near the restaurant, and… a rum bar hidden in a chapel! It doesn’t get much more unusual than this neo-Gothic desacralized curiosity.
Love drinks: Over in the sacristy, you’ll find bartender Fabien, who not only shares stories about the estate but also about the 400 types of rum—whether agricultural, spiced, or in English and Spanish styles—available for tasting (four rums of your choice, €45). The ultimate surprise to gift your +1? A Memorable Moment, where you get exclusive access to the chapel all to yourself (€100).
Chic nibbles: To balance out the tasting, the establishment offers an exceptional selection of chocolates.
Monastic at Domaine Reine Margot Paris Issy - MGallery, 3 cours de la Reine Margot, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux. 01 87 53 65 70. Open Thursday to Saturday from 6 PM to 11 PM.

The Chillest: Mesures

Mesures is the brand-new hidden spot in the heart of the Marais created by two friends Guillaume Castagnet (Castor Club, Très Particulier) who takes care of the bar and musician Benoît de Bonnefamille who manages the turntables. In this intimate space, no frills: raw materials, a dozen tables, and a few chairs at the counter to enjoy an atmosphere inspired by Japanese jazz kissa bars with a playlist of jazz, soul, funk, pop, and disco.
Love Potions: for cocktails, choose from signatures, seasonal, and classic all very sophisticated (€14). Our favorite? The Singe en Hiver (perfect for Gabin and Bébel fans) which combines Calvados, apples, raspberry, and a cumin infusion. Another discovery is the decadent Makea Negroni: a blend of gins, roasted pineapple white Vermouth. A delight!
Chic Snacks: what's also worth it are the dishes with Japanese inspirations signed by Cyril Pham (Ogata). Ultimate crush for the hayashi rice, shredded beef bathed in soy sauce and miso (€16), which still makes our mouths water. Opt also for the Caesar salad which goes well with everything (€11) and the very comforting hot dog (€8).
Mesures, 58 rue de Saintonge, Paris 3rd. 06 79 63 39 99. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 11:30am to 3pm, Tuesday to Wednesday from 6pm to 1am, and Thursday to Saturday from 6pm to 2am.

The Good Vibes: Vieux Carré

Cocktail lovers know the Vieux Carré, a classic drink born in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Here, it’s given a French twist with Calvados for a chic and affordable version (€10). With a long bar, cozy teal armchairs, and a small mezzanine, the intimate decor is ideal for romantic dates—according to barmen Anthony Bonnafoux (formerly of Jacopo) and Renaud Eliazord (ex-Silencio). In an 11th arrondissement that lacks great mixology spots, this one is a gem.
Love drinks: A Carrie Bradshaw-worthy cocktail called Cosmopolite, made with vodka nuage, cranberry, and pistachio oil, is perfect for a Sex and the City moment. The more poetic souls will adore the Églantine, a blend of gin, violet, sake, and a mist of rose water.
Want to go all out? Opt for a custom-made cocktail tailored to your desires. Love it? You can even order it by the bottle (€80) to enjoy it for longer.
Chic nibbles: Small plates to enhance your aperitif, including hummus with toasted buckwheat, homemade tapenade, coppa, and Tomme de Savoie (€6-12).
Vieux Carré, 59 rue de Montreuil, Paris 11e. 07 57 84 37 37. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 6 PM.

The Disco Vibes: The Honey Moon

There’s something quirky and distinctly disco about this spacious bar with no bottles in sight. The green, white, and purple neon lights immediately set a retro-futuristic mood, accompanied by a 90s-inspired playlist. Behind the counter, instead of the usual liquor display, copper pipes line the wall, fitted with 38 chrome taps pouring out inventive concoctions by Ben Cooper and Mike Jordhoy, former bartenders at Lulu White in Pigalle. Everything is on tap, delivered straight from their underground lab, where they craft their potions instead of shaking drinks non-stop. The advantage? Shorter wait times—plus, you can sample before you order!
Love drinks: The two owners love sharing their passion, so instead of a standard cocktail list, the menu helps you choose based on flavors: with or without bubbles, with or without citrus, or both. It’s clever and fun. The menu changes weekly. Adventurous drinkers will love the perfectly balanced Honeymoon or the silky Mizuwari, featuring Scottish whisky, genmaicha tea, and vanilla soy sauce.
Chic nibbles: New! The bar now offers weekly menus that change every Wednesday. For aperitif lovers, a concise selection of delicious spreads is available, perfect for dipping into hummus, tapenade, or a spicy muhammara.
The Honey Moon, 15 rue Saint-Sabin. Open Wednesday to Monday from 6 PM to 2 AM.

The coolest : bar nouveau

This charming pocket-sized bar in Art nouveau style proudly displays its mirrors adorned with arabesques, its horseshoe-shaped counter, its 1900-style light fixtures, and a perfectly curated soundtrack. Behind the shaker, Remy Savage, the best mixologist of 2022, sets the tempo for a team (rocking Nike TN sneakers!) that is dedicated to ensuring guests have a great time. Too vintage? The basement offers a completely different vibe—darker, with plants hanging from the ceiling—where you can sip techno-enhanced versions of the six house cocktails.
Love Drinks : As you take a seat at the bar, a milkshake machine catches your eye… After some inquiries, you’ll find out it’s the magical tool used to make the Ramos (€13), a rare find in bars because it requires extensive shaking. It’s also one of the stars of the place, with its vanilla and smoky notes, an immaculate white hue, and a luscious foam on top. Bitterness takes center stage with the Jasmin (gin, Campari, and citrus), while Le Gustave, adorned with gold leaf and flower petals, is more delicate yet still surprising, with flavors of olive, chamomile, and agave.
Chic Nibbles : Here, you come to taste the crème de la crème of creative cocktails in an intimate setting (only 12 seats upstairs)... and that’s it! No food is served, so given the size of Bar Nouveau, it’s best to go for an early apéro… since they open at 4 p.m.!
Bar Nouveau, 5 rue des Haudriettes, Paris 3e. Open daily from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
