Hôtel Hana

A member of the Chapitre Six family, this five-star boutique hotel (XS version) is located just steps from the Opéra and Rue Sainte-Anne, the heart of Japanese culture in Paris. It proudly displays its Nippon identity from the start, both through its name—Hana means flower in Japanese—and its decor. Designed by interior architect Laura Gonzalez and artistic director Olivier Leone, the aesthetic blends Belle Époque exuberance with Japanese minimalism. In the 26 rooms, including one suite and one apartment, you’ll find iroko wood, straw paper walls, and lantern-style lamps, all curated according to the rules of feng shui. Our favorite rooms? The ones on the 5th floor offering views over the rooftops, some of which even feature private terraces.
At the Hanabi restaurant, raku tables and green banquettes line the bar bordering the open kitchen. The concise menu executed by Roberto Sanchez (formerly of Le Bristol and Grand Véfour) blends Japanese accents with French classics. High marks for the wagyu flank steak with sublime fries and the foie gras mille-feuille with sobacha and radish. A smart addition: the excellent selection of sakes.
The highlight: The pocket-sized spa with its beautiful frescoes, mini-pool, and two treatment cabins. Guests can indulge in reiki energy treatments or a kobido facial massage.
Hôtel Hana - 17, rue du 4 septembre, Paris 2e. From €409 per night.
Château Voltaire

Located between the Tuileries and Opéra, on the site of his former offices, Thierry Gillier, founder of the brand Zadig & Voltaire, dreamed of a hotel. The Festen duo, Charlotte de Tonnac and Hugo Sauzay, alongside artistic director Franck Durand, brought Château Voltaire to life—a 5-star hotel with countless assets. Created by merging three 17th and 18th-century buildings, it houses 32 unique rooms and a 40 m² dual-aspect apartment under the eaves, complete with a lush terrace designed by Louis Benech. Noble materials—varnished oak, stone, velvet—and tones of black and white take center stage.
As Le Voltaire aims to be a living space, guests love settling into L’Émil. This brasserie-style restaurant, featuring ceramic floors and walls, banquettes, and white tablecloths, offers a seasonal menu with Mediterranean flair. Finally, a private spa equipped with a pool and sauna adds the ultimate glamorous touch to what is one of the most romantic hotels in Paris!
The highlight: The bar La Coquille d’Or, named after the 16th-century shell motif adorning the street door. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy: black lacquered walls and ceilings illuminated by four golden shells, thick carpets, deep banquettes, and signature cocktails full of character.

Standing proudly since 2002 between Opéra and Place Vendôme, this five-star hotel holds the prestigious Palace distinction. Behind the landmarked facades that once housed the couture houses of Paquin and Worth, the interior design—mixing classical architecture and modern design—was imagined by Ed Tuttle. The 111 rooms, 44 suites, and one apartment showcase luxurious materials and art pieces, such as bronze statues, wall lights, and door handles created by sculptor Roseline Granet, adding a touch of originality. On the ground floor, Café Jeanne is the place to be for a drink or a club sandwich while seeing and being seen! The spa, featuring 4 treatment rooms including a "Duo" suite with balneotherapy, is the perfect place for a dream escape with a Crème de La Mer treatment. And for the ultimate glow-up, nothing beats a session at the salon of star hairstylist John Nollet...
The highlight: The restaurant Pur', by Jean-François Rouquette (1 Michelin star and 4 Gault & Millau toques), was one of the first Parisian establishments to feature an open kitchen, offering à la carte dishes or a 6 or 9-course tasting menu. The ultimate experience? The Chef’s Table, which can host four to six guests.

Its exceptional location between Opéra and Palais-Royal, paired with decor by Jean-Louis Deniot, is a winning combination.
