An ultra-indulgent, protein-packed brownie

Who said well-being had to rhyme with deprivation? Taking care of your body can also mean enjoying a rich chocolate snack. Proof: this brownie boosted with Pulse plant-based protein powder. With over 70% protein, easier digestion than dairy-based powders, and a good dose of fiber to keep you going all morning. The result? An ultra-indulgent cake perfect for breakfast or snack time. INGREDIENTS TO SHOP

For the cake

180 g oats
25 g cocoa powder
60 g Pulse chocolate protein powder
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda or baking powder
300 ml plant-based milk
50 g dates
60 ml hot water
½ banana
65 g Greek yogurt (or plant-based alternative)
2 tbsp (35 g) coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
75 g dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs

 

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 175°C.

In a blender, mix the dates, hot water, and banana until you get a smooth purée. In a large bowl, combine the oats, cocoa powder, protein powder, salt, and baking soda (or baking powder).

Then add the plant-based milk, the date purée, the banana, the Greek yogurt, the coconut oil, and the vanilla extract. Mix well until you get a smooth chocolate batter. Stir in the dark chocolate chips.

Lightly grease a loaf pan with a little coconut oil, pour in the batter, and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

Let it cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan. Perfect for breakfast or snack time!
