La Fontaine de Belleville

Geographical location: it’s all in the title! Belleville, “the hub to be”, the dream team of Belleville Brûlerie has made this area of Paris its trendy hot spot. After the super cool coffee-roasting workshop, the team which already supplies the best Parisian coffee-shops has just freshened up a former little café.

Who does one run into? Bearded hunks, creative types, AD, budding actresses and young models, and mostly the expat community, always in the know … In short a wide array of good looking guys and dolls.

À la carte: their house coffee and a lot more. For happy hour: old school rillettes (7,50€), a diabolic plate of saucisson (4,20€), Spanish ham (8,40€), great cheese (7,20€). In the glasses, the big comeback of pastis (3,50€) #OldSchoolIsTheNewSchool.

Tops : local Outland beer made in Fontenay Sous-Bois (3,60€), a nice rosé (4,50€) and the must drink Spritz (8€).

We like: standards of the typical Parisian counter updated by a gang of young trendies. Royal, having breakfast in the sun with a legendary muesli (5,10€) and a creamy coffee to start the day on a happy note (4€).

Open Monday to Sunday 8am to 10pm.
