After his gourmet temple on rue de Turenne, the cocoa guru has just opened this Left Bank offshoot. No tea salon here nor pastries, just the very best sweet treats imagined by Jacques Genin and displayed on three deluxe counters.
First the altar dedicated to his cult chocolates. To be tested absolutely, the one infused with fresh mint that will enable you the forget the After Eight, the “basil instinct” and its pralines that will make you hooked very quickly (box starting at 11€)
Their fruit jellies also appeal to fans (lychee, pineapple, kiwi), as well as many surprising veggie offshoots (beet, red pepper, cucumber). Last but not least, the impressive tray of caramels (passion mango; pistacchio; macadamia…).
PS: be sure not to leave without tring a deluxe Snickers. A totally devilish peanut bar (2,40€).
Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30am to 7:30pm
