Move over Murakami. The latest chic when it comes to contemporary art? Dropping the names of Chinese artists, starting with Ai Wei Wei, who created the buzz with his exhibition at Bon Marché.

The very engaged artist, in open conflict with his government, preferred to set up his free exhibition, “Playground”, presented for the first time in France, in a department store, rather than a museum: “to meet a new public”. The result is structures in bamboo, really bluffing kites and dragons in 3D.
