The most beautiful Yule logs to adorn your Christmas table

Long gone are the days when Christmas yule logs looked like tired wooden logs drowning in buttercream, topped with sad plastic reindeers. Over the past few years, the holidays have become a key moment for the greatest pastry chefs, each competing in creativity and unveiling true masterpieces with major wow potential.
We tasted an astronomical number of them to share our favorites — as stunning as they are delicious — guaranteed to impress your guests. Best enjoyed with a dessert fork (not a spoon!) and on beautiful plates, to give them the honor they deserve.

Le Train des Merveilles from Lenôtre

Le Train des Merveilles marks the beginning of a magical journey through the enchanting world of Christmas tales. Imagined by Etienne Leroy, World Pastry Champion and pastry chef of Lenôtre, this creation recalls the sparkle in children’s eyes during the holidays.
This vintage-style train promises a gourmet voyage with its chocolate locomotive, its fifty hand-shaped and assembled pieces, and its two yule-log wagons. A delightful convoi of comforting flavors: hazelnut crunch, luscious praliné, and even a marshmallow roof. All aboard?

Maison Lenôtre, all boutiques. For 8 to 10 people, €190. Available from December 17.

Le Roi Des Forêts from Cheval Blanc Paris

Called Le Roi Des Forêts, this yule log by Maxime Frédéric celebrates the magic of Christmas with a monumental chocolate tree surrounded by gifts. Beneath its needles: a harmony of textures and flavors — a praliné heart with spéculoos sablé, a mendiant studded with pistachios, hazelnuts, almonds, and candied oranges.
The little presents hide an entremets inspired by Poire Belle-Hélène, wrapped in a delicate fromage blanc and honey mousse.

Cheval Blanc Paris, 8 quai du Louvre, Paris 1st. For 6 to 8 people, €180, limited edition. Pre-order online. Pick-up from Dec 19 to 26, 2025.

Art of Yakisugi from Yannick Alléno

This year, Yannick Alléno unveils his very first Christmas yule log, exclusively at Pavillon Ledoyen. Inspired by Yakisugi, the Japanese art of charred wood, this creation resembles a black, sculptural, ultra-refined piece of art.
Inside the graphic shell: lightly smoked chocolate, a mousse-like brown-butter ganache, sobacha crunch, and a silky dulce de leche with coffee. A piece that draws every eye before revealing its flavors.

Pavillon Ledoyen – Yannick Alléno, 8 avenue Dutuit, Paris 8th. For 8 people, €95. Limited edition. Online ordering, pickup on-site.

Signature Yule Log from Le Bristol

A rare, precise dessert that always impresses.
