Cristal Room Baccarat, the real gourmet palace of Parisiennes

To live out your dreams of modern day Cinderella des temps or play at new-age Empress Sissi, this is where it’s happening… A private mansion that has become the flagship of Maison Baccarat where Jean Cocteau, Dali, Yves Saint Laurent had their little habits in the 20s and 30s.

For the restaurant, Philipe Starck has revisited the former ball room of the Countess of Noailles with brick, chandeliers, vases and precious creations by one of the leading crystal designers, Baccarat for a brilliant result !

Good news, to stimulate the taste buds of twigs without burning up their credit card, Guy Martin, the famous three star chef of Grand Véfour, has put together a 36€ lunch menu: a royal sea bream marinated in  olive oil, small ravioli of fois gras in a vegetable broth, a beef bourguignon with a twist and a baba au rhum.

A la carte choices are also wonderful: haute couture aspic oysters, scallops à la plancha and cream of white truffle, an amazing lamb rack or pineapple sushis with cream of cheese-cake.

We looooove : the VIP Gossip Girl version. It’s in the sublime Baccarat restaurant that our Blair Waldorf flirts with the  Prince of Monaco for the first time when the series was filmed in Paris…
