The Southern Kings of pissaladière and socca

Les nicois restaurant

It feels like the South and considering the weather, it’s quite normal... When a gang of homesick cool cats (Nice, to be quite exact) and launch a Southern dining room, it becomes the new hot spot to come hang out, and frankly it really has a holiday feel.

The good news is that pretty boys Luc et Vincent have hired a super chef to concoct all their favorite dishes in the Fernande spirit: an amazing pissaladière, a royal tapenade, an addictive pan bagnat, a terrific ratatouille. Small delights to dig into, comfortably settled in a dining room filled with hipsters as well as the artsy and rock n’ roll friends of the owners. All very comestible.

We also like: no imposed starter-dish-dessert but plates to be shared (or not), to order again and again for a tailor-made dinner, like a late happy hour traîne (we’re telling you, it’s like being on holiday). And of course, this is all to be savored while drinking rosé wine or fine cocktails. Special kudos to the mauresque, a Southern potion more vintage and trendy than ever.

Tip top: deck chairs at the entrance to have a nice smoke outside, while dreaming of the beach.

We adore: the indoor « pétanque » room of the lower level to have fun and the concerts.
