A Journey to the Land of the Rising Sun
Picture this: located at the very top of the building that houses Bacha Coffee at street level on the Champs-Élysées, Aqua Kyoto is the fanciest spot in the capital. Inside, you can admire the skill of the sushi masters — or take a seat on the heated rooftop terrace for dinner facing the Iron Lady, comfortably settled into brick-colored banquettes and armchairs.
To kick off this royal dinner, enjoy two cocktails of your choice or a glass of wine recommended by the sommelier. The feast begins with appetizers : miso soup, black cod gyozas, spicy tuna cigar rolls, salmon with ginger, and classic edamame. Then it’s time for crystal sushi — scallop, tuna, salmon or botan ebi — along with a sushi and sashimi platter to share. Tempura, robata dishes and fish specialties round out this culinary journey before the grand finale : dessert. The hardest part ? Choosing between the black sesame fondant, molten matcha tiramisu or the timeless iced mochis. How do you say “bon appétit” in Japanese ?
