3 outdoor experiences just a stone's throw from Paris

Calling all countryside excursion enthusiasts! This week, the Do It Team has selected three nature experiences that are super easy to access from Paris, perfect for stepping out of your comfort zone, getting some fresh air, and getting your hands dirty. From foraging walks to horticulture and honeybee welfare, there's no time to get bored!

The most bucolic

We're heading to Vincennes for an enriching walk with Adeline, a specialist in plant uses, to learn how to identify (without making mistakes) the treasures growing right under our feet. Gloves, a field magnifying glass, a walk, a picnic in the heart of nature, and as a bonus, a recipe sheet to cook your harvest or prepare medicinal remedies: you’ll never look at the forest the same way again.

The most bee-friendly

How about gathering a few friends to stock up on honey? We need to take care of our striped friends, especially in the city where they are rare! Head to Montreuil to learn urban beekeeping techniques with Rafik on the roof of the city hall. Suit up ipso facto to visit the apiary and handle a beehive in vivo. In addition to tasting over 200 honeys from around the world, you'll leave with candies, a beeswax candle, and a small jar of honey.

The most floral

Sunflowers, gladioli, lilies, and roses: it’s summer flower season! With the Chemin des Fleurs team in Avrainville, you can spend a day dedicated to blooms. On the agenda: harvesting seasonal flowers, a friendly lunch break, and creating a bouquet with your favorite flowers—100% organic, local, and freshly picked.
