This heatwave is the perfect excuse to indulge in ice creams galore. No problem: our favourite Parisian spots have just launched new creations that are to die for (trust us: we’ve tried them all), including water-based ice creams, Italian-style soft serve, lactose-free options, cream-based ice creams, and even gargantuan sundaes to savor on-site. Cornet or cup team? Let the marathon begin!
THE MOST FASHION : Folderol x Café Kitsuné
This is the summer’s star collaboration: on one side, Folderol, the TikTok‑famous ice cream maker, which skyrocketed thanks to its unique concept: artisanal ice cream paired with a glass of wine, enjoyed right on the sidewalk. On the other, Café Kitsuné, a pioneer of matcha in France and coffee expert. Together, they’ve created a menu that reflects both: top‑quality artisanal ice creams made at Folderol with Kitsuné’s signature flavours. To accompany them, fizzy drinks are available this summer, creating a perfectly refreshing duo. Tested and approved: the mind‑blowing matcha ice cream and the delicious Cold Brew coffee — a win, especially with a delightful blueberry & elderflower fizz.
Café Kitsuné x Folderol, available in Café Kitsuné locations across Paris. €4 per scoop, €6 for the fizz.

THE MOST EXPECTED : Bristol
2025 and a brand‑new team were required for the Bristol to launch its take‑away ice creams via L'Épicerie des Ateliers du Bristol. Newly arrived, pastry chef Maxence Barbot unveils addictive artisanal ice creams churned on‑site in tiny batches and served in charming striped individual pots. Flavours? Vanilla cream ice cream with caramelized pecans and caramel sauce; chocolate cream ice cream with cookie pieces and chocolate sauce; or strawberry sorbet and yogurt cream with strawberry and raspberry coulis, naturally elevated with toppings like cookie pieces, caramelized pecans, or crunchy mini meringues.
Available to take away at L’Épicerie des Ateliers du Bristol, 114 rue du Faubourg Saint‑Honoré, Paris 9e. Take‑away or Click & Collect. €14 + €2 per topping.

THE MOST DECADENT : The French Bastards
Unsurprisingly, the award for the most decadent ice creams of the summer goes to The French Bastards, who continue to test our limits by offering scandalously indulgent frozen bars this year. Encased in irresistibly crunchy milk or Dulcey chocolate, there are three options: Vanilla, Caramel, Cookie; Peanut, Brownie and Fleur de Sel (our favourite); or Speculoos Caramel. Our recommendation? Get all three and slice off strips of squares to share and sample each.
Frozen bars available in all The French Bastards boutiques. €5.90.
THE MOST gelato : Pedone
The Pedone family, from Apulia, has been supplying top Parisian tables since 1959 with its must‑have gelati. So their first standalone location near Opéra Garnier is already causing a stir, serving their extraordinary vanilla, hazelnut or pistachio affogati, an addictive Brioche al Gelato (yum, pistachio and chocolate sauce), a frappé milkshake‑style, and, of course, supremely creamy gelati and sorbetti.
Pedone, 51 rue des Petits Champs, Paris 1er. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ice cream from €5, frappé €7.50, affogato €8, brioche al gelato €8.50.

THE MOST VEGETAL : Nicolas Paciello x Blend
Pastry chef Paciello teams up with Blend to reinvent the classic American sundae. The must‑visit burger spot is offering the Sunrice this summer: a rice‑milk and ice cream dessert that’s lactose‑free, gluten‑free, and 100 % vegan! Made with almond milk and caramelized almonds, it’s the light, frozen treat to devour all summer.
Sunrice by Nicolas Paciello, available in all Blend restaurants. €6.90.

THE MOST TRAVELER : Pierre Hermé
Pierre Hermé unveils a spring‑summer collection that beckons travel: based on ingredients from here and there (Iranian pistachio, orange blossom, yuzu, Brazilian coffee…), the summer novelties include, of course, high‑quality ice creams. Our favourites: the Ispahan sorbet with lychee and rose & the raspberry sorbet reminiscent of his iconic macarons, and the ultra‑indulgent pain perdu ice cream with vanilla, brioche, French toast, and caramel pieces.
Pierre Hermé, available in all boutiques until August 27, 2025. €8.

THE MOST CHINESE : Petit Bao
If you needed another reason to head back to Petit Bao by Bastille, here it is! Extended until the end of August (success wins!), the Tutti Frutti Pandan Sundae stands out as the most photogenic dessert in this selection, a nod to traditional Chinese fruit platters. In its cup: Pandan ice cream from Café Isaka, house whipped cream, mango coulis, fresh fruits and syrup‑peach, topped with a maraschino cherry. How do you say “yum” in Chinese?
Petit Bao Bastille, 10 rue Bréguet, Paris 11e. Available until end of August. €9.
THE MOST palace : Crillon
At the iconic Place de la Concorde palace, Crillon’s pastry chef Matthieu Carlin sets up a gourmet cabin. His ice‑cream cookie comes as a stick plunged into a cookie, coated with ice cream and a crunchy glaze, in either strawberry or coffee; the devilish pecan‑caramel‑cookie; or the brand‑new exotic flavour of mango‑passion sorbet and coconut‑nut cookie (€10). Enjoy while strolling on rue Saint‑Honoré or on a bench in the beautiful Champs‑Elysées gardens, just steps away.
Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, 10 place de la Concorde, Paris 8e. Open daily from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
THE MOST ITALIAN STYLE : La Combine
Near Canal Saint‑Martin, La Combine hit the sweet spot for customer loyalty, offering weekly changing pairings of Italian‑style soft serve. Hazelnut/coffee, strawberry/Timut pepper, fior di latte/pistachio, peanut/chocolate… Pre‑set combinations that surprise at every visit. A hit whose silky texture invokes holiday vibes on the Mediterranean under Italian sunshine. Surprisingly, they also offer wine by the glass to pair with your sweet treat.
La Combine, 44 rue de Lancry, Paris 10e. Ice cream + wine combo €10.
THE MOST parfait glacé : Ritz
Though we’ve just learned François Perret will leave the Ritz in September, the pastry chef isn’t done yet — pre‑farewell, he signs couture frozen parfaits at Ritz Paris Le Comptoir. Choose between: Peach Melba parfait with vanilla, caramelised almonds, poached peaches in raspberry syrup, topped with whipped cream, raspberry coulis and fresh raspberries; or the Blueberry & Coconut with vanilla custard ice cream, blueberry coulis and chunks, house whipped cream, and fresh coconut.
Ritz Paris Le Comptoir, 38 rue Cambon, Paris 1er (Mon–Sat 8–20, Sun 9–19); and 45 rue de Sèvres, Paris 6e (Mon–Sat 9–20, Sun 10–20). Available July 3–August 27, 2025. €16.

Replicated in Paris, this Wild‑West vibe spot with a screen continuously showing Hill’s films wins hearts and cravings with its fabulous 100 % natural Italian‑tradition ice creams made from premium ingredients. The star? Bronte pistachio adored by Mister Terence! We also love the energizing 100 % Arabica coffee, just like a ristretto. Also try the surprising Aperol Spritz‑flavoured scoop.

THE MOST LOLLY : La Maison du Chocolat
The winning duo of La Maison du Chocolat and La Glacerie de Paris teams up once again for a frosty collaboration. We love the artisanal cocoa and cream ice creams to munch on during hot spells. Favourites: classic chocolate‑vanilla‑praline bar, and the chocolate‑hazelnut‑caramel frozen bar we devoured greedily. For cup fans, go for the vanilla ice cream marbled with chocolate‑caramel — simply swoon‑worthy.
Bars and cups €7.50. La Maison du Chocolat, Paris locations listed on their site.

The most cutting-edge : Enzo & Lily
When the grandson of Raymond Berthillon, the undisputed master of all ice creams, starts his own shop, you naturally pay a visit! Head to the 16th to Enzo & Lily, Lionel Chauvin’s ice cream shop, to discover his delicious creations (it’s in his genes!) with unique recipes. Christophe Louie
The king of panettone, Christophe Louie, needs no introduction. For the summer, this passionate artisan transforms his signature cake into a light milk cream ice cream, delicately flavored with orange and vanilla, with buttery brioche notes. The famous chocolaterie À la Mère de Famille offers a refreshingly cool break with its new Papino water‑based ice creams. Kapé
Do you know the yam? This root similar to sweet potato is the main ingredient in Ube Ice Cream, the signature violet‑hued ice cream at Filipino café Kapé that’s sure to light up your Insta stories. Plus, this ice cream mixed with coconut milk is served in Italian‑style soft serve. New twist: the same but with a matcha shot — affogato style. We enjoy them on-site in this calm, beautifully designed Oberkampf spot, or to take away. Not trying it would be madness!

Le Café-Glacier du Procope
In 2024, the legendary Procope revealed a new Café‑Glacier salon perfectly aligned with the venue’s aesthetic and grand past (let’s remember that Procope was, before being a brasserie, a café and even the first place to serve coffee in the 17th century!). At snack time, order a “gourmet pause” including ice creams and sorbets in creative cups: Fior di Latte cream ice cream with whipped cream and milk jam arrives overflowing in its cup and is enough to satisfy sweet cravings.
