Ambroise Firmin-Didot, French printer, publisher, and art collector, built this château in the second half of the 19th century, right in the heart of the Vexin. Today, it stands as one of the most beautiful hotels in the region. Surrounded by a park filled with a wide variety of trees, the château houses 33 rooms behind its stone and brick façade. Guests love the 3 Junior Suites overlooking the classified park and the 6 Deluxe Family Rooms, perfect for a weekend with children. The decor matches the spirit of the place, herringbone parquet floors, ornate moldings, antique furniture, all combined with modern 21st-century comfort. The guesthouse for 6 people in the park is a great find for getaways with friends. At the helm of the gourmet restaurant Cambrousse, Chef Valentin Bouilleveaux crafts a menu that changes with the seasons, using produce from the 3,000 m² permaculture gardens. A highlight : the private dining table for 10 guests in the vaulted stone cellar. Don’t miss exploring the secret library of Ambroise Firmin-Didot, a journey back to the 19th century.

Bonus : Kids love playing hide-and-seek and climbing trees in the 65-hectare park, and discovering the chicken coop.

Le Domaine de la Corniche

Just 15 minutes from Giverny  and 45 from Paris, this manor perched above the meanders of the Seine was built in 1908 to house the love affair between King Leopold II of Belgium and Blanche de Vaughan. Now a 4-star, Green Key–certified hotel, it features 42 rooms and suites spread across several buildings. Our favorites ? Those with views of the Seine or located in the building beside the 600 m² spa, which includes a pool, hammam, sauna, and 7 treatment rooms (4 for couples) offering Cinq Mondes and Algotherm treatments. There’s also an outdoor pool overlooking the river. The hotel has two restaurants : Le Bistrot 20 du Domaine, offering simple yet well-crafted dishes like duck breast or tuna tataki, and the aptly named Le Panoramique, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, led by Chef Gaëtan Perulli, boasting breathtaking river views. His cuisine celebrates local, seasonal produce with finesse.

Bonus : A billiard room and a private cinema with over 200 classic films, its walls covered in movie memorabilia.

Le Jardin des Plumes

In 2012, Eric Guérin opened Le Jardin des Plumes exactly one century after this beautiful blue half-timbered house was built. Nestled in Giverny, just a short walk from Claude Monet’s house, this charming boutique hotel offers 8 rooms -- including 4 suites -- blending classic elegance with whimsical details like feather chandeliers.

We love the 40 m² duplex suite with a balcony overlooking the garden. On the culinary side, you’re in for a treat: after joining Eric Guérin in 2017, Chef David Gallienne, winner of Top Chef 2020, took over in 2020 and kept the restaurant’s Michelin star (confirmed in 2025). His philosophy: highlight local ingredients and honor the work of regional producers.

The hardest part ? Choosing between the “Impressionist” 7-course menu and the 5-course “Feather” tasting menu. A lighter à la carte option is available for lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Bonus : Stay at the nearby guesthouse Ô Plum’Art, owned by the chef, a former 1906 dairy turned into a six-room haven.

The fine dining restaurant, set beneath a grand glass roof surrounded by greenery, offers a creative take on classic cuisine, using fresh seasonal ingredients.
