Home décor boutiques, mythical bistros, cutting-edge galleries, little shops that haven’t changed in 50 years, elegant buildings, and a lifestyle envied by the whole of Paris: around rue du Bac and rue de Grenelle, the 7th arrondissement stands out for its refinement and tranquility. That said, things do move around here! New trendy spots made us want to take another stroll and share with you the best addresses to visit.
Prévelle
Like an artist’s work, you recognize a great chef by the unique character of his cuisine. That’s certainly the case with Romain Meder who, after earning three Michelin stars at Plaza Athénée plus a Green Star at Domaine de Primard, has just opened his very first restaurant… all his own! At Prévelle, just steps from the Assemblée Nationale, he unveils an exceptional plant-based repertoire bound to catch the eye of a certain red guide always on the lookout…
Prévelle is first and foremost a tribute to Combe au Prévelle, the tiny hamlet in Haute-Saône where he grew up, foreshadowing an ode to the land in line with his journey, embracing a pastoral vision in the era of zero waste. Expect dishes like royal sea bream with peas, octopus with pointed cabbage, a beet stew paired with a plump brioche, leche de poisson with tagetes sorbet and crunchy peas, or a dessert of cherry, strawberry, currants, and fruit soup… Lunch menus run €65 or €85 (2 or 3 courses), tasting menus €145 and €165 (5 or 7 courses), all with Michelin-starred precision including amuse-bouches, mignardises, and more.
Prévelle, 34 rue Saint-Dominique, Paris 7th. Open for lunch Tuesday–Friday, dinner Monday–Friday.
Saints Pères
Absolute crush on this sublime new address that combines two of our greatest passions: beautiful tableware and coffee. Right on the charming namesake street, Saints Pères porcelain house presents a minimalist yet graceful showcase featuring bowls, vases, and plates of rare refinement—true design-forward treasures of craftsmanship. Signature ivory tones, bold black contrasts, exclusive French-made porcelain collaborating with Dior and Christofle, and a sharp customer experience: every detail is curated by founder Caroline Petit-Mason (ex-Three Seven).
But the boutique isn’t just about décor: Saints Pères also offers its own coffee shop and even… an olive oil bar! After shopping, grab an iced coffee latte (€6.50), a flat white (€6), or a pistachio latte with cookies enhanced with a drizzle of cold-pressed olive oil. This ultimate star product is revealed through tastings by appointment, sold in porcelain bottles (€160), and even sipped as a shot on-site for a polyphenol boost (€5). A true “contemporary grammar of pleasure” crafted to satisfy every sense.
Saints Pères, 69 rue des Saints-Pères, Paris 6th. Open Monday 8:30am–4pm, Tuesday–Friday until 7pm, Saturday 10am–7pm.
Saint Laurent Babylone
Instagram is buzzing… and so are we since the opening of Saint Laurent Babylone bookstore, of course on the Left Bank. No it-bags or leather jackets here: the idea is to find the essence of Saint Laurent beyond clothing. In a setting as elegant as it is brutalist (white stone walls, marble displays), Anthony Vaccarello has raised the bar by creating a cultural hub featuring rare books (fashion, theater, music, fine arts, dance…), vinyls (to listen to on-site!), plus collector or fresh-off-the-press magazines.
A meeting point between the Belgian designer’s refined passions and those of Yves Saint Laurent, the space also hosts rotating photography exhibitions by contemporary artists (currently: Dani Terblanche). Our obsessions to grab across all budgets: the cult re-edition of Sex By Madonna showcased at Art Basel Miami Beach (€2,200), a beautiful book on muse Betty Catroux (€110), and a Saint Laurent chocolate bar imagined with François Daubinet. The bonus? Every purchase comes in a chic white Saint Laurent Babylone tote bag designed exclusively for the space.
Saint Laurent Babylone, 7 rue de Grenelle, Paris 7th. Open Wednesday–Saturday 11am–7pm, Sunday from 1pm.
La Petite Chaise
Serving the Parisian elite since 1680, La Petite Chaise was recently taken over by Antoine Arnault and his circle of friends. In the hands of architect Johanna Amatouri, this true rue de Grenelle institution has been rejuvenated (how many times over its centuries of life?), now more than ever attracting the fashion crowd to its plush two-story setting. Red velvet banquettes, wood paneling from floor to ceiling, chandeliers, and crisp white tablecloths give the place a near-mystical aura: stepping inside La Petite Chaise is like stamping your Parisian passport.
All year round, the Left Bank’s hottest table hosts a parade of celebrities—from the Olsen twins to Katie Holmes, Ralph Fiennes, Matt Dillon, and CEOs galore. The menu? Frisée salad with lardons (€16), celery rémoulade (€11), stylish deviled eggs (€10), wild sea bass with beurre blanc (€36), chicken supreme (ours came with morel sauce – €30) with sucrine, shoestring fries, or garlic green beans. The chic finale: desserts to share like a stunning pavlova with whipped cream and red berries (€20) or an addictive chocolate mousse (€20).
La Petite Chaise, 36 rue de Grenelle, Paris 7th. Open Tuesday–Saturday lunch and dinner, plus Sunday lunch. +33 1 42 22 13 35
Maria de la Orden
She’s the chicest and smartest Madrilenian fashionista on Instagram. In addition to her other label La Veste (co-founded with BFF Blanca Mirò) and some noteworthy collabs (Monoprix, Anja), Maria de la Orden now has two Parisian boutiques, including a charming shop on rue de l’Université.
Her collections embody an affordable take on the “Ladylike” trend seen on Miu Miu, Hermès, and Fendi catwalks: classic silhouettes with a couture twist—puffed sleeves, bold stripes, XXL pussy bows, and charming prints reinvent bourgeois style. Highlights from the new collection: a blue blouse with ruffled cuffs (€170), a pink blouse with XXL bow (€140), striped trousers (€150), a hunting-style corduroy bermuda (€150), and a denim-and-patent red leather bi-material bag (€375).
Maria de la Orden, 38 rue de l’Université, Paris 7th. +33 9 83 41 43 95. Open Monday–Saturday 11am–7pm.
La Trésorerie
A true neo-bazaar with an extraordinary home décor selection and a chic hardware-store vibe, La Trésorerie has been a staple for over 10 years, enchanting ceramic lovers, stylish homemakers, and DIY queens alike. While its flagship in the 10th arrondissement thrives, a brand-new, more compact boutique has just opened in the 7th, bringing the crème of European artisans and creators to the Left Bank.
Among the gems: a mini ceramic vase (€36.50), French-made glass tumblers with bees by La Rochère (€7.95), a pastel-blue body cream by Graine de Pastel (€36.95), plus stylish dish brushes, chic trash bins, mirrors, and tableware treasures for the perfect Parisian table. Also great: thoughtful gift ideas like kimono-style bathrobes, combs, eau de toilette, and toiletry bags.
La Trésorerie, 48 rue de Grenelle, Paris 7th. Open Tuesday–Saturday 11am–7pm.

This is the insiders’ spot, where chic foodies of the 7th come to enjoy discreetly a cuisine “at the crossroads between bistro and grand Parisian dining.” Hidden on a quiet street leading to place Saint-Thomas d’Aquin and its stunning church, Racines des Prés is the work of serial restaurateur David Lanher (Racines, Le Bon Saint-Pourçain, LaLa Cuisine chez Maison Sarah Lavoine…).
Dishes include caramelized onion tart with beetroot and Comté, balsamic reduction (€18), sea bream ceviche (€19), duck confit ravioli (€33), scallops with Jerusalem artichokes (€41), and a legendary Paris-Brest (€16). Our tip? Go for the 4-course surprise tasting menu (€76), showcasing seasonal produce elevated by the chef’s creativity.
