The Best Lebanese Restaurant in Paris? It’s This One!

There’s more to Lebanese cuisine than pitas. In Beirut, a chic and much-loved restaurant known by the local intelligentsia has elevated Levantine gastronomy well beyond the humble man’ouché spots. After dazzling the Middle East with multiple openings, Em Sherif Café has finally landed in Paris—right near Miromesnil in the 8th arrondissement. The local business crowd has already claimed it as their new HQ… and so have we.

Paris's New Lebanese Hotspot

Equal parts elegant and welcoming, Em Sherif is the brainchild of Mireille Hayek, a self-taught chef soon to be joined by her daughter Yasmina, who trained under top French chefs like Mathieu Pacaud and Jean-François Piège, and was awarded the Michelin Young Chef Award. Together, they’ve made their signature style of hospitality into a way of life—and a decorated one at that. No surprise, then, that Paris’s Lebanese community has adopted Em Sherif Café as its new go-to, where flawless blowouts and Loro Piana tailoring are part of the ambiance. This place oozes chic.

Whether you're seated on the linen-draped terrace (our favorite vantage point) or inside the beautifully curated dining room, friendly staff deliver continuous, generous service that makes everyone feel instantly at home. Major points for that.

Levantine Dishes Made to Share

This is sharing cuisine at its finest, recalling the joy of family banquets, vibrant dishes, and a warm sense of abundance. That spirit is fully alive at Em Sherif Café, where the signature mezze instantly seduce: fattoush salad (€14), tabbouleh (€12.50), grilled marinated halloumi (€16.50), spicy sausages (€16.50), and silky eggplant mutabbal (€12).

Make sure to save room for fall-off-the-bone lamb shank (€38), whole sea bass with tahini and vegetables (€34), or the Black Angus beef skewer with zaatar chimichurri (€38). Pure joy.

Dessert Lovers, You’ve Been Warned

Mireille and Yasmina know how to close a meal with flair. The rose and orange blossom rice pudding topped with crispy caramelized puffed rice (€11) is simply unforgettable. And the Mistkeh W Ghazleh? Don’t try to pronounce it—just order it. It’s a devilishly creamy achta ice cream wrapped in delicate strands of traditional Lebanese cotton candy (€14). Trust us: once you’ve tried it, you’ll dream of it.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 12pm to 11:30pm (closed between 5pm and 7pm).
