Which new restaurants are making waves this September 2025? Spotlight on three must-try tables: from a Minorcan-inspired canteen that’s already become a fashion hotspot, to the second opening of a young Michelin-starred chef, and a chic new spot in the Golden Triangle attracting the stylish crowd of the 8th arrondissement.
Casa Pregonda
Why it’s cool: Because it’s the best way to keep the holiday spirit alive! Casa Pregonda blends Mediterranean charm with the culinary talent of Alexandre Giesbert (Daroco), a strong travel-inspired identity, and a communications team that knows how to draw the Parisian crowd. The result? Paris fashion insiders have made it their new stylish HQ – and so have we.
The place: Perfectly located near press offices and showrooms, Casa Pregonda welcomes you with a façade straight out of the Balearics. Inside, white stone walls, chandeliers, a high bar for counter dining, and warm service all create a coastal escape with zero false notes.
On the menu: Start with the best sangria in Paris, infused with peach, verbena and rosemary (€10 a glass / €40 a jug). Then share Iberian specialties: tortilla with aioli and confit peppers (€14) or with txistorra sausage (€17), Russian salad (€12), spectacular carabineros prawns al natural (€24), tomato salad with tuna belly (€18), and of course, croquetas de jamón ibérico (€8). Don’t miss the squid-ink arroz with carabineros (€74) or indulge solo with the Minorcan-style lobster caldereta (€49). You’ll be back very soon, guaranteed.
Casa Pregonda, 6 rue Marie Stuart, Paris 2e. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 7pm–12am.
Elbi
Why it’s cool: For his second restaurant, Omar Dhiab goes even deeper, offering a heartfelt tribute to his Egyptian roots and his father, also a chef. Elbi (“heart” in Arabic) brilliantly combines Egyptian gastronomy, a French-style wine bar, and a Parisian bistro spirit. The result: generous, authentic, and precise cuisine.
The place: An open kitchen where chefs in sports jerseys cook in front of you, rap music in the background, sleek industrial décor mixing wood and zinc, and attentive service from a denim-clad team. Options abound: sit by the kitchen, by the windows on rue de Paradis, or at a hidden, dimly lit private table perfect for special events.
On the menu: Dishes are classified by cooking method: low temperature (37.5°C), steam (85°C), fried (180°C), grilled (350°C), or roasted (400°C). Highlights include pomegranate-lacquered eggplant (€15), slow-cooked harissa with traditional bread (€9), “œufs cocotte” merguez stew (€12), filo-wrapped crispy prawns (€22), lobster and orzo with nigella sauce (€38), grilled pigeon with apricot-almond condiment (€26), and roasted molokheya with chicken (€39). Don’t skip the bihia chickpea purée (€9). For dessert: pistachio gelato with praline (€10), kunefe-style rice pudding with dates and hazelnuts (€12), or semolina cake with orange blossom (€9).
Elbi, 54 rue de Paradis, Paris 10e. Open Monday–Friday 6:30pm–12am, Saturday–Sunday 12–2:30pm and 7pm–12am.
Frivole
Why it’s cool: With a playful yet chic vibe, Frivole brings seduction to the heart of the Golden Triangle. Located inside the five-star Maison Champs-Élysées, the restaurant also boasts the exclusive Salon Louis XIII, a private lounge for cognac and cigar lovers, available by membership or for one-off experiences.
The place: Dim lights, colorful neon, velvet banquettes, and corsets as décor – the atmosphere is indulgent, elegant, and daring. The glass-roofed dining space creates a luminous contrast, while the green terrace is perfect for sunny days.
On the menu: Pair daring cocktails with truffle-parmesan saltufo (€15) or a pizzette with dill-marinated salmon (€22). Follow with salmon gravlax and sorrel gel (€22), or avocado céleri rémoulade (€19). For mains, indulge in the signature “Frivole-au-vent” with scallops (€42) or duck filet with olives and fries (€30). Finish with a classic tropézienne or peach Melba (€15).
Frivole Restaurant, 8 rue Jean Goujon, Paris 8e. Open daily, 7am–2am.
