American Choreographers at the Opéra de Paris

dance ballet

Broadway, George Balanchine, the musical… You have always been a big fan of American dancing? We have good news, Opéra de Paris pays homage to choreographers from the country of Oncle Sam all Summer long by showcasing emblematic figures in the world of Ballet.

On the program: nearly 70 years of exchange and creation between the Opéra and choreographers featured thanks to hundreds of exclusive photos, anecdotes and detailed spotlights on the most famous such as Gene Kelly… It’s all there!

We like: the many costumes on display and worn by the stars of the Opéra, that make everyone dream, such as those created by Christian Lacroix for “"The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady” by Karole Armitage… Grandiose!

Don’t miss: the retrospective on choreographer William Forsythe, a major figure in the dance world. His latest creation? A superb play composed on the electro album of the British musician James Blake : a real gem (until 16 July at the Opéra).

From the 16th of June to the 25th of September.
