Kiss Me Kate, the musical high note of the moment

Kiss Me

We had already warned you: it’s the big comeback of musical comedies in Paris!  In the same spirit as Singin’ In The Rain, but even more sparkling and amusing, rush to book seats at Châtelet for the double-mythical Kiss Me Kate.

The pitch: Baltimore in1948, an eclectic cast is repeating the musical adaptation for Taming of the Shrew. And what a shrew! Top of the billing, Fred Graham and his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi, who has become a movie star, are constantly quibbling backstage and onstage – because of a lover’s quarrel implying the lovely Lois Lane...

We adore: the cult music of Cole Porter. Our favorite? Always True To You (In My Fashion), or when Lois explains to her lover that she cannot help being attracted to rich men (#golddigger). Also tops, the muy caliente choreography for Too Darn Hot.

Kiss Me Kate, from the 3rd to the 12th of February. Seats from 25€ to 98€.
