A hidden waterfront terrace near Bastille

A nice slab of nibbles and a fresh bottle of rosé very close to the Marais, without any car noise? An illusion? No. Le Grand Bleu…

This real institution has just undergone a major renovation looking out on the pretty port de l’Arsenal at Bastille.

On the embankments near Opéra, spot the small barge harbour, walk down the steps and you will fall on the XXL terrace of the Grand Bleu. Rush to the 360° rooftop to grab a table (in wood from old sailboats), and go back down to order from the outdoor bar a nice bottle of white or rosé (€25 ), a zingy cocktail (€15 ) and a cheese / charcuterie slab where everything is really good (goat cheese, gouda with truffle, rillettes, ham chiffonnade.... (€20), or even an oyster plate.

And since this temple of cool was incubated by Felipe Alvez (owner of  La DémesureLa Démesure sur SeineL’Atelier des Artistes, and DA for the wild evenings of Les Ambassadeurs), the ambiance was bound to follow. And such is the case in the style of The Love Boat starting at 10pm : a funk and soul DJ set  on Friday, electro on Saturday, black music during the week. The hot ticket to start out a chill evening.

Open every day from noon to 2am.

Also discover the terrace for happy hour and dancing and Le Bal de la Marine, a trendy terrace at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
