With summer fast approaching, it’s time to start getting your body ready. Tanning, workouts, dietary supplements: we’re all in on the most effective tools to rock that bikini body, from beach to poolside. While anti-cellulite products help at home, the real debloating trick is getting massages in a professional setting. We tested six spots to guide you based on your preferences and goals: whether you love invigorating massages, holistic experiences, or a gentle and natural moment, it’s goodbye cellulite and water retention.
Little Biceps
The place: Tucked away in a courtyard on rue du Temple, Little Biceps is THE go-to spot for actresses and models in the capital. The founder greets us with flaming red hair and rock-hard abs. Fun fact: Emmanuelle used to be a journalist before giving it all up to follow her wellness passion. With her CAP in hand, she now helps women as a trained massage therapist, specializing in anti-cellulite massage, facial massage, and lymphatic drainage. Her studio is booming thanks to a team of professional and caring masseuses who get rave reviews.
The promise: a killer booty!
The protocol: It’s Emmanuelle herself who gives us the massage—and it quickly becomes clear where those muscles come from! The Little Booty treatment we’re trying is very invigorating, requiring plenty of energy, which she delivers generously. Her method combines deep palpate-roll to “unstick” fat, energizing strokes for drainage, and a thoughtful abdominal massage. The treatment mixes anti-cellulite techniques, lymphatic drainage, and detox acupressure points. It targets the legs, knees, and butt, areas prone to storing fat. Some parts are painful, but you get used to it quickly. Bonus: the session ends with a deeply relaxing foot massage. You leave rejuvenated, debloated, and visibly more sculpted.
The plus: It’s more than a wellness session—it’s also a moment for real talk. Emmanuelle is attentive, curious, and chatty. Makes sense: “Psychology is 80% of the job,” she says. And communication is key. Genuinely interested in her clients, she builds real relationships—both in person and on Instagram, where she shares tips and candid reflections, answering questions with great sincerity.
Little Biceps, 59 rue du Temple, Paris 4th. 01 45 35 45 58. Open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm. Little Booty treatment: €160 for 1 hour.
Les mains d’Odile
The place: Odile Vilain needs no introduction. She’s a masseuse-physiotherapist, physiotherapist, gemmotherapist, and beautician. She’s got more than one string to her bow and magic hands—hence the name of her salon on rue de la Paix, Les mains d’Odile. It’s a cozy beauty haven, decorated with a mix of vintage and designer furniture. In the massage room, there’s a doctor’s desk where she attentively listens to her clients’ issues and prescribes organic essential oils and macerates, the heart of her method, used during treatments to boost their effects. Her “beauty prescriptions” are custom-written to treat everyday ailments, with a 100% natural approach. Next to her desk, apothecary bottles hold her elixirs, also available for purchase.
The promise: a custom, anti-cellulite massage, gentle and deeply relaxing, that leaves you feeling light and at ease.
The protocol: As a lymphatic drainage and reflexology specialist thanks to her beautician training, Odile offers tailored massages that are gentle and non-painful, yet always effective. She combines various techniques: circular pressures, kneading, and the palpate-roll technique… to treat areas of your choice: upper body, lower body, face, or stomach. This method is rooted in physiotherapy, a health discipline that uses manual and physical therapies to prevent, treat, and relieve pain or dysfunctions. This expertise goes hand-in-hand with a holistic approach that considers the body as a whole.
The plus: Odile is a walking encyclopedia and loves to share her knowledge. It’s rare to meet someone with such a deep understanding of gemmotherapy and aromatherapy. A true fountain of knowledge!
Les Mains d’Odile, 4 rue de la Paix, Paris 2nd. By appointment, Monday to Friday, 9 am–7 pm. Face treatment from €150. Body & face treatment from €300 (90 minutes).
Lanqi
The place: Perfect for those who enjoy holistic experiences and alternative techniques, Lanqi is a traditional Chinese spa with three locations. Our favorite: the one on avenue de Saxe, just steps from the Eiffel Tower. In a truly authentic Chinese setting, the staff gives us a warm welcome. At the helm: Madame Lanqi, who is off to work with Louis Vuitton, but left us with a detailed questionnaire to tailor a custom treatment. You answer personal questions: Madame Lanqi is a healer of both body and soul, and has developed her own eponymous method. It’s a blend of ancestral knowledge passed down through generations, based on Tui Na, a pillar of Chinese medicine. The goal? Rebalance the body’s energy and restore global harmony through tonification. After explaining our needs, we go for a treatment between anti-cellulite massage and drainage.
The promise: a renewed sensation, like hitting the reset button.
The protocol: After removing our shoes at the entrance, a masseuse leads us to the treatment room. With fairy hands and precise expertise, she begins with foot reflexology and then uses vigorous, controlled movements on the entire body. No small talk here: just relaxing music for a moment of pure calm. Along with palpate-roll, she adds drainage techniques by stimulating lymphatic points. She uses guasha tools in back-and-forth motions and guides us through unique movements to relax the muscles. Note: some are slightly painful but necessary for fast results. Each body part feels re-energized as she progresses.
The plus: Treatments are truly personalized. The pre-treatment interview is crucial: you discuss your body—but also your mind, even seemingly minor issues like insomnia or digestion troubles. This self-reflection is refreshing and helps focus on specific pressure points during the massage.
Lanqi, 7 avenue de Saxe, Paris 7th. Detox drainage anti-cellulite massage: €106 – 1h. Slimming body massage with slimming oils for tummy and/or thighs/legs/arms: €66 for 30 minutes. €110 – 1h.
