Book the Last Seats for a Hilarious Show

You’ve probably seen Cécile Marx’s videos popping up on Instagram (110K followers and counting), where one of her many talents is predicting the future of her audience using a dictionary. Long-time fans, we went back to see the latest version of her one-woman show, playing this Friday evening at the Théâtre du Marais, and you’ll need to snag the last remaining tickets to catch it !

In this intimate venue, perfect for improv and uncontrollable laughter, we dive into the unique world of the touring comedian, who’s stopping in Paris for a handful of dates. We love learning about the improbable memories of this child of the stage, raised – by her own admission – by an actor father with a fondness for weed and a slightly eccentric singer mother. From a bumpy life journey, she crafts a show (and even songs !) that are both hilarious and deeply touching, leaving you eager to know more about her.

Spoiler alert : her trusty dictionary sidekick is, of course, still part of the show, answering the audience’s always-wild questions. The night we attended ? “Will my partners find a job?” (yes, plural) and “Will my girlfriend finally leave her husband?” Our tip: prepare the question that’s been on your mind : you’ll be blown away by the answers. A true favorite !

Cécile Marx - Iconique, Friday February 7 and Friday March 27 at 9 p.m. at Théâtre du Marais, 37 rue Volta, Paris 3e. More dates coming in April, May and June.

Snag Silverware and Tableware from Parisian Palaces

After browsing the Do It Team’s curated selections to set your most beautiful tables, all that’s missing is standout tableware. The insider tip ? La Vaisselle des Chefs, a special sale offering the best in tableware, silverware and furniture sourced from iconic Parisian gastronomic institutions.

Taking place on February 7 and 8 at Césure, in the former Sorbonne-Nouvelle campus near the Latin Quarter, the sale features second-hand treasures from Plaza Athénée, Les Deux Magots, Ladurée and Le Meurice. Each piece comes with a story guaranteed to impress your guests.

What to grab: classic plates and glassware from €8, ultra-stylish silverware once owned by Paris’s grand palaces (€50–100), and our personal favorite : the iconic terrace tables and chairs from Les Deux Magots. Bonus : proceeds from the sale are donated by each venue to Apprentis d’Auteuil, supporting hospitality training for disadvantaged youth. Online tickets are almost gone, but don’t worry, arrive early and you can buy your entry on site.

Stock Up on Crêpes for Chandeleur

If you haven’t celebrated Chandeleur yet, there’s still time to catch up !

Baker Benoît Castel offers a box of six crêpes Suzette via click & collect or delivery (€13.50) : perfect for enjoying at home, cozy and warm. No more hours spent at the stove : the Breton chef’s crêpes are ready to eat. Inside this box of happiness ? Six perfectly textured crêpes soaked in a decadent caramel-orange sauce with Grand Marnier and candied orange zest. Warning : highly addictive.

The Provençal bakery Pompette! (20 rue du Renard, Paris 4e) celebrates crêpes in their most comforting form : the kind you eat on the go to warm up on a winter afternoon. Every weekend, their pop-up stand outside their new 4th-arrondissement address serves freshly made crêpes, soft, golden and filled with homemade toppings : sugar (€3.50), caramel (€4.50), chocolate spread (€4.50) or pear-passion fruit jam (€4). Extra treat: a rich hot chocolate straight from the pot. We’re already drooling.

Crêpes Suzette lovers who prefer a sit-down experience with a flambé show should head to La Grande Cascade (Allée de Longchamp, Bois de Boulogne, Paris 16e). In this Michelin-starred restaurant, Chandeleur becomes a true spectacle as maîtres d’hôtel flambé the crêpes with Grand Marnier tableside (€32), filling the room with notes of orange and caramel. More than dessert, it’s a full sensory experience.

Final gourmet stop :Brutus, partnering with Michelin-starred Top Chef winner Thibaut Spiwack. The chef reimagines the February classic with a citrus crêpe cake (€8.50), reflecting his creative and committed cuisine. Layers of crêpes, lemon cream, orange chantilly, candied zest and meringue create a dessert that’s both crunchy and melt-in-your-mouth. Paired with a glass of Gwennic cider, it’s a must-try, available at all Brutus Paris locations until Sunday.

Be Amazed by the Ballet of Milan

When Italian dance elegance meets the virtuosity of French music, the result is an exceptional performance. The Ballet of Milan returns to Paris for four exclusive evenings at Théâtre Bobino, presenting its flagship production La Vie en Rose.

On the stage of the 14th-arrondissement theater, 15 dancers move to the rhythm of iconic French songs by Charles Aznavour, Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel, before building to the intensity of Ravel’s legendary Boléro. Choreographed by Adriana Mortelliti—winner of the Rieti Danza Award for Best Choreographer—each scene explores the theme of encounter in all its forms: attraction, indifference, seduction and solitude. A beautiful fusion of tradition and modernity.

La vie en Rose by the Ballet of Milan, Théâtre Bobino, 14-20 rue de la Gaité, Paris 14e. February 4–8.

Admire a Picasso Masterpiece

Buying a €100 raffle ticket and winning an artwork by Pablo Picasso, all while supporting a good cause ? That’s the brilliant idea from the Fondation Recherche Alzheimer, created to address a global emergency affecting over 35 million people worldwide.

The concept ? 120,000 tickets sold at €100 each, offering a chance to become the owner of an original artwork by the Spanish master. The prize ? Tête de femme, a stunning gouache on paper painted by Picasso in 1941, valued at one million euros. Here, the saying “it’s the taking part that counts” truly rings true, as every participant supports international Alzheimer’s research.

While waiting for the draw, the artwork is exhibited at Opera Gallery, founded by Gilles Dyan, a partner in the initiative. The raffle draw takes place on April 14 at Christie’s—fingers crossed!

Visit a Quintessentially Parisian Exhibition

The Musée Carnavalet, dedicated to the history of Paris and located in the heart of the  Marais,, is celebrating the final days of one of its exhibitions—so this weekend is your last chance to see it. Since October 8, Les Gens de Paris, 1926–1936 has offered a unique look at Parisians during the interwar period, based on population censuses from 1926, 1931 and 1936.

Enriched with demographic data, testimonials, unpublished works, photographs and postcards, the exhibition offers full immersion into everyday Parisian life of the era.

Bonus : you’ll encounter iconic figures like Louise Weber (aka La Goulue), Charles Aznavour, Kiki de Montparnasse and Edith Piaf, alongside ordinary residents, a taxi driver, a telephone operator, unemployed workers. More than an exhibition, it’s a sweeping fresco of lived stories that connects today’s Parisians with those of the past.

Experience an Immersive Show Inside a Church

Starting Friday, Saint-Eustache Church lights up once again with poetic visuals following the success of the previous edition. This historic monument becomes the stage for L’Odyssée Céleste, a fully 3D immersive show – a true technological feat – designed as a temporal trilogy exploring the church’s past, present and future. Beneath the vaults, stones turn into galaxies and stained-glass windows into constellations, transporting spectators into a distant universe… light-years away from Paris. The poetic narration pays tribute to the monument’s builders, celebrates living matter such as light and stone, and imagines what the church of tomorrow might look like.

The centerpiece of the show ? The Nimbe, a monumental luminous circle that reinterprets light as a living material. The final touch to this already extraordinary experience is the music, which awakens all the senses : classical masterpieces by Satie, Beethoven and Vivaldi are reworked and paired with choral voices for total immersion and a truly timeless moment.

L’Odyssée Céleste at église Saint-Eustache, 146 rue Rambuteau, Paris 1er. Tickets from €20. Shows at 8:30pm and 9:50pm, from wednesday to saturday until the 28th of February.

Be amazed at the Grand Palais

After The Broad (LA), The Barnes Foundation (Philadelphia), and Hayward Gallery (London), artist Mickalene Thomas arrives in Paris at the iconic Grand Palais. Through painting, collage, photography, and video, All About Love—inspired by bell hooks’ book All About Love: New Visions—explores the representation of Black women in art, history, and popular culture.

Rhinestone-encrusted works radiate sensuality, strength, and grace, portraying friends, lovers, family members, and cultural icons. More than artworks, these pieces are deeply political, inviting women to reclaim their rightful place in society. A jazz-infused soundtrack featuring Eartha Kitt’s voice echoes through the rooms, reinforcing the exhibition’s central theme: the power of love.

Our favorite moment? A cozy room filled with colorful armchairs, books, and lamps, where visitors relax while watching four screens looping the iconic song that guides the exhibition.

Admire the Beauty of Stones

You may not know his name, but Roger Caillois – writer, sociologist, and religion expert – authored more than sixty captivating works. Fascinated by natural sciences and completely obsessed with stones, he began an extraordinary collection in the 1950s. About 200 of his mineral wonders are now on display at L’École des Arts Joailliers, supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, showcasing nature’s breathtaking poetry side-by-side with Caillois’ writings.

Agate, quartz, anorthite, fluorite, limestone : each piece displays astonishing patterns and colors so precise you’d think a human crafted them… but no. Among the treasures of the exhibition Rêveries de pierres : Poésie et minéraux de Roger Caillois, you’ll find his gem-set academic sword, an agate shaped like a storm-tossed ship, and the famous “Little Ghost” : we’ll let you guess why.

Bonus : children’s workshops and a free downstairs exhibition with stunning photographs by Juliette Agnel, part of Photo Days.

Exposition « Rêveries de pierres : Poésie et minéraux de Roger Caillois » à L’École des Arts Joailliers. From Nov 6, 2025 to Mar 29, 2026. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00–19:00 (late opening Thu until 21:00). Free with reservation.

But first, what a setting! We instantly crush on the wild Piet Mondrian light fixture, the vintage Roland Garros poster, and the terrazzo floor that’s totally on trend.

Learn fashion drawing… on a boat!

All aboard for the “Fashion Design” workshop—literally! This creative class takes place on a boat moored at the Port des Champs-Élysées. Picture yourself sketching with a view of the Pont de l’Alma and the Eiffel Tower. Pretty chic, right?

Guided by Iveta and Quentin, you’ll first learn the basics of human figure drawing (keeping proportions in check), before moving on to stylized silhouettes, just like couture sketches. Books featuring fashion collections will be available for inspiration, but nothing beats gazing at the Seine and soaking up Paris as your muse. Each participant leaves with their own creations—maybe you’ll be the next great couturier?

Learn to shape ravioli

Saturday, it’s ravioli! There are still spots left for a 2.5-hour cooking workshop all’italiana with Claudio, a transalpine chef passionate about the cuisine of Puglia and Sardinia who masters the art of ravioli like no one else. We bring along our guy / our BFF / our chef buddy (cross out the unnecessary) for a really fun class in the 11th, around Voltaire. But first, we start by getting to know each other and learning the basics over a glass of Prosecco – or a sparkling drink for the soberistas – to go with some cheeses from the Boot.

Let’s go for the making of fresh pasta, learning the real gestures and tips whispered in mamma’s kitchen. Then we work on the sauce and filling, before it's tasting time! P.S.: don’t forget to bring a tup’ to take home the leftover pasta.

Tasting Brittany in the heart of the Marais

2nd round for the sibling duo Albane and Baptiste Lamotte, who already brought us Galette Café in the 7th! After the success of Galette Café, the family is growing with, this time, a more polished décor for which architect Sylvie Zerat has designed every detail like a living space where you feel at home. Special mention for the terrace overlooking Parc Royal! Start by ordering oysters, especially the plump Étoile Kys n°3 (€20 for 6), then melt for the galette with Andouille de Guémené, delightfully indulgent, served with its onion compote and creamy cider sauce, unless you go for the version with smoked salmon, potatoes with vinaigrette, and seared red onions (€16.90). Stretch the pleasure with a crêpe filled with salted butter caramel and vanilla ice cream (€9.50), or a Suzette flambéed with Grand Marnier (€11)… Yum! The must: Ty Coz offers a take-away version of their galettes but also of their ice cream sundaes (€9.50): perfect for sunny days.

Ty Coz, 4 rue du Parc Royal, Paris 3rd. Open Tuesday from 12pm to 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 11pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.

Book the Coolest Dinner of the Moment

This is the sexiest dinner right now, perfect for a large table of 6 to 8 people. Hidden at the back of our favorite restaurant Rivages at Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra, a charming room now hosts highly exclusive dinners combining the talents of Chef Martin Simolka and Head Bartender Roberto Catalano. Once a month on Fridays (the grand premiere will take place this January 31!), the two accomplices prepare an exceptional four-hands dinner right before your eyes, lasting approximately 2h30 (€150 per guest). While Martin presents his dishes, Roberto, stationed at the other end of the table, creates signature cocktails paired to enhance the flavors of the meal.

On the menu of this wildly chic and delightful six-course meal: a spectacular beef tartare, a white pearl oyster with passion fruit lemon granita, and scallops with hazelnut condiment, among other delicious and colorful surprises we’ll keep secret for now. The fun part: Roberto shares his best Parisian addresses for finding the rare spirits he uses in his concoctions. Their infectious camaraderie puts the whole table in an incredibly joyful mood, making the evening feel like an intimate gourmet dinner at home. This is an experience to share with your favorite food-loving crew.

Rivages Supper Club, launching on January 31, then every first Friday of the month at 7:30 PM. Reservations only on thefork.fr. Restaurant Rivages at Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra, 1 rue Scribe, Paris 9e.
