Whether you’re looking for the perfect traditional Galette des Rois or a more luxurious version, the Do It team has put together its ultimate best-of galettes des rois to order fast for Épiphanie. From classic frangipane to fruity creations by top pastry chefs, a popcorn-infused version from a five-star hotel and irresistibly nostalgic twists, there’s something for every taste and every budget. All that’s left to do is choose…

La Maison du Chocolat

Each Épiphanie, La Maison du Chocolat crowns a seasonal indulgence, and this year, pecan nuts take center stage. The Galette des Rois Carya, named after the pecan tree, sets the tone: a silky dark chocolate ganache elevates a soft pecan frangipane. While the golden puff pastry is perfectly crisp, the real star lies in the crown-like decoration – pecan praline, caramelized pecans and dark chocolate shavings – making this galette truly fit for a queen.

La Maison du Chocolat, 225 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris 8e. €65 for the Galette Carya (8 people), by pre-order only. Reservations open from December 29 in boutiques, pick-up from January 3 to 19.

Christophe Michalak

Imagine your two favorite desserts combined into one decadent creation… That’s exactly what pastry chef Christophe Michalak, drawing on 15 years of experience at the Plaza Athénée, has imagined for Épiphanie. His idea ? A millefeuille-style galette with ultra-crispy caramelized puff pastry filled with a delicious Provençal almond cream, enhanced with dark chocolate chips and a chocolate-vanilla ganache. Impossible to resist the ultimate sweet combo of early January.

Lenôtre

The signature galette from Maison Lenôtre, Escale en Orient, hides many surprises beneath its golden, crispy puff pastry adorned with tiny wheat grains. Inside, sunny flavors unfold : orange blossom-scented brioche and frangipane, a date compote with hints of apricot, and one of four limited-edition fèves illustrated by Marianne Guély Studio. Even without finding the fève, you’ll still enjoy a delicious journey to the Orient.

Lenôtre, 48 avenue Victor Hugo, Paris 16e. Escale en Orient Galette available from January 2, 6 servings at €59.

Eminente x La Grande Épicerie

This year, Cuban rum brand Eminente teams up with La Grande Épicerie to unveil a unique galette des rois halfway between Cuba and Paris. Beneath a crocodile-scale-inspired puff pastry lies an indulgent almond frangipane infused with Eminente Reserva, the brand’s signature rum. One lucky finder will even discover a golden crocodile fève, winning a trip to Cuba.

Eminente x La Grande Épicerie Galette, available from January 2 to 31 at La Grande Épicerie de Paris, 38 rue de Sèvres, Paris 7e and 80 rue de Passy, Paris 16e. Small galette €19.50, large galette €39.

Café Kitsuné

For Épiphanie, Café Kitsuné stays true to its roots with a galette des rois created by pastry chef Yann Brys, Meilleur Ouvrier de France. A  matcha lovers’s dream, this version reinvents the classic frangipane with the iconic Japanese green tea powder : an irresistible twist on a beloved French dessert.

Cyril Lignac

France’s favorite pastry chef Cyril Lignac returns this year with a brand-new galette des rois collection for Épiphanie… and once again, we want to taste them all. If we had to choose just one, our hearts would go to his ultra-gourmet Pear & Pistachio version: caramelized puff pastry, tender pear pieces and a pistachio–orange blossom frangipane come together in this early-year indulgence. The fève ? We’ll let you discover it, but it might just take the shape of one of the chef’s iconic animals…

Ritz Paris Le Comptoir

The Ritz delivers the boldest and most original creation of the season with a reinterpretation by Joris Theysset, blending softness, nostalgia and indulgence. The star ingredient ? Roasted corn, a humble product filled with memories and rarely used in French pastry.
Generosity is the guiding principle here : almond and polenta frangipane infused with popcorn, ultra-crunchy roasted corn praline, three-chocolate roses des sables toppings and popcorn pieces. Even the edges are filled with flowing caramel. A true gem.

Pierre Hermé

A galette des rois by Pierre Hermé inevitably means an ultra-generous shot of indulgence. The pastry chef plays with a Pain Perdu-inspired version featuring inverted puff pastry and a soaked brioche dough that is incredibly soft. A different texture, yes, but traditional flavors remain, with the iconic almond cream and a smooth caramel preserving the very essence of the galette.

Pierre Hermé, 39 avenue de l’Opéra, Paris 2e. Pain Perdu–Style Galette available from January 2 to 26. 4 people €38, 8 people €62, 12 people €78.

Belén Bakery & Café

Just steps from the Trocadéro lies Belén, an Argentine-inspired bakery and café. Warm and welcoming, it offers a generous and indulgent galette des rois for Épiphanie. Beneath the beautifully golden puff pastry hides a walnut and dulce de leche frangipane, a true Argentine culinary pride. Léonie x Carel

When artisanal bakery LÉONIE teams up with Parisian footwear and leather goods house Carel for Épiphanie, the result is a fiercely stylish galette.
This ultra-chic collaboration features crisp puff pastry, delicate almond frangipane hiding one of the ceramic fèves created by artist Sofia de Moser Leitao, all presented in a Carel-branded pouch. And because no detail is left to chance, a golden fève shaped like the iconic Kina Mary Janes is hidden in one galette, allowing the lucky finder to win a pair of Carel shoes.

Léonie x Carel. 6-person galette for €35, limited edition available Saturday January 10 and Sunday January 11, in all six Parisian LÉONIE locations.

Stohrer

Stohrer, the quintessential Parisian pastry shop, signs a bold galette des rois for this Épiphanie. A must for purists and lovers of intense, raw flavors: here, no shy almonds, but whole almonds that give the frangipane a strong, traditional – almost slightly bitter – taste. The puff pastry follows suit : golden, crunchy and rustic, just the way we love it. No extravagance, just perfectly executed simplicity that brings back childhood memories of hiding under the table during the slicing ritual.

Stohrer, 51 rue Montorgueil, Paris 2e. Raw Almond Galette: individual €6.50, 4–5 people €35, 6–8 people €50, 10–12 people €68. Available from January 1 at the historic Montorgueil boutique and in the 7 shared Stohrer x À la Mère de Famille locations.
