The real recipe for an « Alsatian » Hot-Dog

Hotdog Alsacien

New York does not have the monopoly of the « hot dog» and we can prove it with this very Frenchy hot-dog prepared with our best products.

For 4 persons

Preparation: 15 minutes

Cooking: 6 to 8 minutes


Peel the onion and cut in thin slivers.

In a pan, heat the olive oil and allow the onion slivers to simmer until golden. Add the sauerkraut, a few juniper berries and coriander seeds, mix for a few moments.        Salt and pepper.

Cut the breads lengthwise without cutting them totally in half. Warm in the oven.

Dip the Knack from Alsace in boiling water for 3-4 minutes.

Baste the breads with Savora mustard and spread the sauerkraut. Use one Knack d'Alsace for each hot-dog. Season according to taste.

Enjoy your hot-dogs nice and warm with a fresh salad sprinkled with walnut oil!
