Finger Sandwiches Fit for the Royal Family

The season of garden parties and picnics in the park is fast approaching. It’s time to learn how to make snacks that are both chic and easy to nibble on! Forget the bags of chips: let’s go Royal Family style with this recipe for tuna finger sandwiches from the book À la table de sa majesté, a very British cookbook that celebrates traditional English recipes from high society. Simple to make and easy to snack on, these canapés will be a hit on the lush grass of your favorite garden.

For 4 sandwiches
Preparation: 5 min
Chilling: 1 hour

Ingredients to buy

1 can of 200g natural tuna
8 fresh mint leaves
40g cottage cheese
8 slices of wholemeal bread
Salt, pepper

The Recipe

Drain the tuna carefully.

Rinse the mint leaves and finely chop them.

In a small bowl, mix the tuna well with the cottage cheese and chopped mint. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Spread the mixture on 4 slices of bread, top with the remaining bread slices, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

After this time, trim the sandwiches (remove the crusts with a knife) and cut them into the desired shape using cookie cutters.
