Madame: the romantic comedy of Amanda Sthers

Film Madame

If you were dreaming of a fresh touch, this divine comedy written and directed by Amanda Sthers is going to be right up your alley. It should be noted that with this second film, the Frenchie writer has hit the bull’s eye with a particularly sexy Hollywoodian casting.

Top of the marquis: Rossy de Palma, Harvey Keitel, star actor of Scorsese and Toni Collette who needs no presentations (she incarnates the mother in Little Miss Sunshine, the bride of Muriel or the sister of Cameron Diaz in In Her Shoes). For the French touch: Stanislas Merhar and Joséphine de la Baume. Everything we love.

The fairytale scenario, with a very British sense of humour is totally irresistible with Rossy de Palma in the role of a modern-day Cinderella. It’s the ideal movie if you are a fan of Pretty Woman, Notting Hill and Love Actually.

Once upon a time… in Paris, Anne and Bob, a couple of wealthy Americans. One evening, while they are about to give a very high-end dinner with a certain number of English socialites, French and American, the son of Bob’s first wedding arrives. 13 at the table? Never. The hostess asks Maria, her maid, to slip on a dress and pretend she is a rich Spanish friend. But who could imagine that David, an expert in art from the British aristocracy would fall under her charm?
