Between Art Basel and the launch of new exhibitions of the season, October stands out as the artiest month of the year in Paris. The perfect excuse : dive into arty experiences under €50 to treat your wallet while boosting your creativity. From lithography initiation, acrylic painting classes, resin object making, to the art of paper marbling, the Leonardo da Vinci within you will be thrilled !
The most competitive
Laurie invites you to dive into the ultra-colorful world of marbling and create your own unique A4 poster. In small groups, you pick your colors and tools to compose your artwork. While it dries, put your knowledge to the test in a fun quiz on marbling patterns. Focus is key here, there’s a prize at stake : the winner takes home a collector poster by Laurie ! At the end, you can either scan or take your poster with you, with a framing option available for an additional €8.
The brightest
Isabelle, painter and artist, welcomes you to discover acrylic painting in a bright and open studio with a super educational vibe. After this workshop, you’ll know everything about composition, perspective, volume, values, light, and colors. Isabelle guides you in developing your own style and shares techniques adapted to your progress. The big bonus? At the end of the year, an exhibition with a vernissage will showcase the works created during the classes... including yours!
The most hands-on
Have you heard of jesmonite ? It’s an innovative composite material made from plaster stone and water-based acrylic resin. Layla, also known as Lilou, leads workshops to discover this special medium. During the session, you’ll learn how to create an object in jesmonite by picking a shape, mixing pigments, and pouring the material into a mold. Bonus point : after drying, enjoy a gourmet tasting break before finishing your piece with demolding, sanding, and varnishing.
The most romantic
At Café Pli, in the heart of the 11th arrondissement, take a suspended moment to offer a thoughtful gift to your future self. After choosing your card, your prettiest envelope, and stickers to decorate it, let your pen flow and your words fill the page. Before sealing it with wax, like a writer from another era, don’t forget to slip in the little photobooth picture taken at the café for a truly meaningful surprise. The only thing left is to choose when your “future you” will receive the precious letter: 5,10,15, or even 20 years later?
