The high mass of festivals is about to begin! It’s time to book your favorites before tickets sell out for absolute must-gos like We Love Green, Rock en Seine, Solidays, Beauregard, or even Vieilles Charrues… All that’s left is to prep some Coachella-worthy looks to ensure a few killer Insta stories.
The most inclusive: Solidays

The pitch: This is one of the biggest annual events for AIDS awareness. Since 1999, Solidays has worked to implement aid programs for patients and prevention, thanks to world-renowned artists who continue to draw massive crowds.
On stage: It’s hard to get trendier than this stunning lineup featuring Gims, Bigflo et Oli, or even Zaho as headliners. For those nostalgic for the Y2K era, you’ll also find Zara Larsson and Suzane.
The must: Educate yourself and sharpen your perspective by listening to engaged and fascinating talks at the Social Club with renowned speakers (Bill Gates, Christiane Taubira, and Raphaël Glucksmann have all taken the mic here) focusing on climate change, the fight against violence towards women, and other current events.

The most eco-friendly: We Love Green

The pitch: No need to fly across the world for a wild thrill… Put on your flower crowns and high-waisted denim shorts and head to We Love Green in the Bois de Vincennes! The program? Concerts, short film screenings, and arty performances in a highly chill atmosphere overseen by the super agency We Love Art (Nuit Blanche, The Peacock Society).
On stage: A crazy Friday (Gorillaz, Sébastien Tellier, Little Simz…), a trendy Gen Z Saturday (Theodora, Addison Rae, Mac Demarco…), and on Sunday, enjoy an exceptional closing day with The xx, Ethel Cain, or Marina (formerly Marina and the Diamonds), who defined the 2020 era during lockdown.
The must: On the food side, just like the last edition, enjoy a 100% veggie food court with reusable tableware. A first for a festival in France!

The most boho-chic: Rock en Seine

The pitch: It’s our very own Glastonbury… but chicer. Rock en Seine offers 3 days of amazing partying, pop-rock and electro concerts, wild dancing, and flirting under the stars. An excellent way to end the summer with friends at the gates of Paris, in one of the most beautiful gardens in Ile-de-France, the Domaine de Saint-Cloud.
On stage: Check out the ultra-sharp lineup featuring stars Tyler The Creator or Lorde, Djo (aka Steve from Stranger Things, yes indeed!), Sombr, or The Cure, as well as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Miki, and Deftones.
The must: Mini Rock, a little festival inside the big one to look after the kids during the lives, featuring concerts and DIY kids-friendly workshops supervised by professionals.

Outside Paris
The most intense: Beauregard

The pitch: This festival consists of 5 days of music on two stages set in the heart of the Château de Beauregard park. Located between Caen and the sea, it is THE largest festival in Normandy, gathering artists of all styles and backgrounds for its 18th edition.
On stage: It’s heavy hitting! Wednesday, Aya Nakamura, Macklemore, and Bob Sinclar set the stage on fire. Thursday, we welcome a local artist… Orelsan, of course, alongside Pulp and La Mano. We continue Friday with our international boss lady Theodora, Feu!Chatterton, Gaëtan Roussel, and Rilès. And for the weekend, we finish in style with Disiz, Vanessa Paradis, and The Pixies… 5-day pass, anyone?
The must: You can't miss the gourmet stands right under the iconic Beauregard Ferris wheel, featuring wine and champagne bars, Normandy cider, oysters, Normandy-brewed beers, and cheese and charcuterie bars, not to mention numerous food stands for sweet or savory treats.

The most Breizh!: Les Vieilles Charrues

The pitch: Les Vieilles Charrues (Erer Khoz Karaez in Breton) is the #1 rival to Hellfest. As you’ve guessed, the festival, celebrating its 34th summer this year, takes place in Brittany in the heart of Finistère with a crazy lineup featuring both international stars and emerging artists.
On stage: At the top of the bill, the festival brings out the big guns, including the irresistible pop of Katy Perry, the decibels of Vald and Vladimir Cauchemar, and the pop elegance of Mika. You’ll also find Biga*Ranx, Piche, and 47 ter for a healthy dose of sunny music.
The must: True to the festival spirit, you sleep in a tent (or under the stars) in the cute little campsites provided nearby on-site. And it’s free!

The most vintage: Rétro C Trop

The pitch: A modern-day Woodstock just 1 hour from Paris—believe it or not? Rétro C Trop is the festival that's never "too retro," where you cross paths with all your favorite teenage artists (or those of your parents). A high-energy, feel-good time warp that’s already a cult favorite.
On stage: The 2026 edition promises to be legendary with a lineup that makes the amps roar. As headliners, the festival strikes hard with the raw energy of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the anthems of The B-52's, and the passion of Matmatah. Get ready for great rock and new-wave moments with Europe, Ghinzu, Razorlight, Squeeze, and the iconic New Model Army. Between international gems and reliable French acts, an exclusive lineup awaits under the Picardy sky.
The must: A 100% "good old days" vibe with vinyl stands, hippie jewelry and clothing sales, but also arcade and pinball games, and exhibitions of vintage cars and Volkswagen campers. So cool!

The most colorful: Rose Festival

The pitch: Looking for a shot of good vibes in the heart of Toulouse? The Rose Festival is the place where the new French scene flirts with the hottest headliners of the moment. Created by Bigflo et Oli, the festival blends Southern warmth, collective energy, and a love for live performance in a fresh, summery atmosphere.
On stage: Spanning rap, pop, and electro, expect to see artists who are vibrating the charts and the crowds. On the roster: Macklemore, Ino Casablanca, Kungs, DJ Snake, and Josman for 3 days of madness.
The must: An ultra-chill yet high-voltage atmosphere, where everything is designed for enjoyment beyond the concerts—gourmet food trucks, chill zones, and 100% pink scenography. You come for the music but stay for the collective energy—and leave with memories that stick.
Rose Festival, August 27 to 29, at MEETT, 20 minutes from Toulouse.
