Around the Jardin du Luxembourg
It's neither really in Saint-Germain des Prés nor still in the Latin Quarter, its perimeter that quietly expands around the Luxembourg gardens, surrounded by the noisy rue de Rennes bustle, the elegance of the rue Saint Sulpice and majestically dominated by the Panthéon monument on the other side.

A walk in the orchard and the museum
In the garden area alongside the rue Auguste Comte the orchard of the Luxemburg Garden Conservatory extends discretely. Heritage of the Chartreux patrimony, it shelters 700 varieties of apples and pears whose delicate names sound like poems. They even have orcharding courses (01 42 34 23 62). If you are more into bees and honey, you should know that the Central Society of Apiculture gives beekeeping courses. The honey from your harvest will be sold at the Orangerie of the garden, during their traditional Fall fair.

Five minutes from there, the confidential Musée Zadkine (Ossip Zadkine, sculptor of Russian origins, major figure of the Paris School from the 1910s) is nestled in a darling little garden where sculptures live peacefully in the greenery, rarely bothered since there are rather few visitors...
