How to make easy spring rolls ?

It’s the new phenomenon invading Instagram, and healthy  networks… No worries: it’s not necessary to have gone to the Cordon Bleu to produce them. Make your own spring rolls !

For 8-10 spring rolls

Preparation time: 25 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Preparation

Heat the 50 cl of broth in a big pan.

Place the chicken filet in the pan and cook for 15 minutes starting at the first boil.

Allow to cool down and cut the chicken filet in thin strips.

Peel the carrots, cut into thin sticks. Wash the parsley leaves and the nasturtium leaves.

Peel the cucumber, cut into thin sticks.

Dip the rice cake in a big pot of warm water.

When the rice cake is supple, spread it out on a clean work surface.

Sprinkle a few flowers and the parsley leaves on the cake.

At the center of the cake, place a nasturtium leaf, on top of a bundle or carrot, cucumber and chicken.

Fold the lower part of the cake on the bundle, then fold the sides over the ingredients. Then, roll everything tightly.

The rolls can be different, you can sprinkle with flowers, chisel the nasturtium and parsley leaf for example.

Mix the herbs by using the coriander and the parsley.

You can also decide to use the mango, cut it into sticks to incorporate it in the making of the spring rolls, for this operation use a very firm mango.

To be enjoyed with a fresh Spring beer.

Ingredients :

- Rice cakes

- 200 g of chicken filet

- 50 cl of broth

- 3 carrots

- 20 parsley leaves (or coriander)

- 8/10 nasturtium leaves

- 1 handful of comestible flowers (pansy, pentas flower, pineapple sage, nasturtium, borage…)

- 1 cucumber

Sesame sauce:

- 4 table spoons of thick fresh cream or yogurt

- 1 table spoon of sesame oil

- 1 chopped garlic clove

- Salt and pepper

- Sesame seeds

Mix all the together (without the sesame seeds), place in small cups and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Mango sauce:

- 1 ripe mango

- 1 chopped garlic clove

-2 cl of cider vinegar

- Salt and pepper

Peel the mango, recuperate the flesh and mix it with the vinegar and the chopped garlic. Salt, pepper. Set aside.
