A trompe l’oeil salty pastry

A very salty pastry

Beware of appearences! At Privé de Dessert, the foie gras takes on the allure of an Opéra pastry and the burger looks very much like a Saint-Honoré. In this new restaurant of Pigalle, the trompe-l’œil effect also takes place in the plate.

Behind this amusing concept, Sephora, a pretty young twig, web expert, decided to drop everything to propose a new gourmet adventure. Her idea? Make traditional dishes from the classic French cuisine look like cakes and pastries yet without being totally kitsch.

Set aside your preconceived ideas and let yourself be bluffed by the panna cotta (10,50 €), in reality a foie gras whipped cream with red onion sauce, the lemon pie (jumbo shrimps and grapefruit, 9,50 €) mixing shrimp and raw avocado or the crumble (17,50 €) a delicious salmon recipe with leek.

We love: the Saint-Honoré (16,50 €), the already cult burger served with a cone of churros (6 €).

Tops: the real desserts at the end of the meal such as the croûtons soup (a delicious mango/ banana smoothie, served with biscuits, 8€)

We also like: the low-key spirit and the raw decor with vintage pieces and US inspirations

Open Tuesday to Friday from 7pm to 11pm
