Laïa égaie Monceau avec sa nouvelle table méditerranéenne

Five years after delighting East Paris with its countryside-style venue in the 11th arrondissement, Laïa makes a stylish comeback. This time, it’s in the quiet, underrated Monceau neighborhood of the 8th, just steps from the park. The new hotspot—part of the Fuga Family group led by Pierre Doublet and Quentin Garreau de Labarre—ticks all the boxes: sun-drenched terrace, magazine-worthy decor, and Mediterranean small plates. Bonus scoop: a rooftop bar is set to open on the 12th floor of the same building this June. Stay tuned.

A Vacation Vibe in the Heart of Paris

Everything about Laïa Monceau is designed to feel like a holiday escape. Located at the foot of a sleek office complex on Rue de Monceau, the space has been transformed by the Adjamée design studio (behind Polpo as well). Think hand-painted plates featuring octopus motifs, terracotta-toned seating, oversized bouquets, travel books, and artisanal ceramics—all bringing the chic seaside spirit to life. The best part? A lush garden-style terrace, shielded from traffic, perfect for long sun-soaked lunches.

Italian Influences with a Twist

While the menu is broadly Mediterranean, there’s a clear nod to Italian traditions, subtly infused with Japanese touches. Chef Sacha Perrin (formerly of George V and Trianon Palace) crafts standout dishes like silky vitello tonnato (€16), beef tartare cannoli with shiitake and wasabi (€10), saffron arancini with tomato caviar and shiso (€11), and a crave-worthy mortadella pizzetta with stracciatella and pistachio (€19).

For mains, opt for the grilled octopus with eggplant caviar and gari gari (€28) or the cod fillet with sorrel sauce and seasonal vegetables (€26).

Save Room for Dessert

Laïa Monceau’s biggest surprise? Its show-stopping desserts. Don’t even think about skipping them. Try the indulgent pistachio and lemon choux served family-style (€26), or go for the elegant strawberry-rhubarb pavlova with basil (€11), best enjoyed alongside a top-tier Spritz (€15).

Open daily for lunch and every evening except Sunday.
