Check out the original Frenchy it-girl: the Joséphine exhibition at Luxembourg

Pour Les Fous De Notre Sissi Frenchy L Expo Josephine Au Luxembo

A palace tea-time + a great exhibition dedicated to Joséphine de Beauharnais (wife of Napoleon I) with a privileged entrance: here is the ideal Wednesday outing during which you can slip into the skin of Joséphine, the most glam’ and romantic  Empresses!

The concept? Combine an amazing tea time at the Shangri-la Palace, enjoying delicious finger-sandwiches and cakes, nestled in the living room of this über chic private mansion (property of Napoleon’s nephew by the way) before making a bee line for the Musée du Luxembourg without having to queue up to discover the new exhibition dedicated to Joséphine, the original it-girl …

We adore: the tea-time worthy of an Empress with a selection of finger sandwiches +  amazing scones +   biscuits + warm drink without counting a series of mini pastries. Our favorite? Passion fruit and raspberry tart designed with rose petals, created especially by pastry chef François Perret, in memory of the Josephine’s passion for flowers and gardens.

Fab: the intimate exhibition retracing the life of this fascinating socialite, as spendthrift as she was influential, coquette and ultra-modern for her time, through a hundred objects (clothes, jewelry, paintings, furniture…).
