Yummy tapas and a cool ambiance. Such is the promise of the modern-style tapas bar as we like them that showcases tasty small tapas… Code name? Pintxos, small portions that are the big hit in Spain and whose recipes were concocted by Fernando Canales, “the” star Basque chef.
So just sneak into this one-way street, into a large paved courtyard without cars, that has a definite holiday feel.
On the program of small delights, we order and order again : addictive croquetas (8€) the classic Pan crystal con tomate (6€), or fried squid, a killer (10€). To wash it all down: a nice glass of white wine(5€) , a real Gin Tonic (10€), the Spanish Spritz or a “Ginette” made with violet liqueur.
