In line with the most coveted Japanese-inspired restaurants of the moment, here comes the hot new address shaking up the 7th arrondissement. After the success of Fitzgerald, Hollywood Savoy and La Fontaine Gaillon, Guillaume Benard (Fitz Group) is back with a bang. He brings Vesper, a cult Left Bank spot, back to life with an ultra-glam Japanese vision that’s already turning heads.
A Tokyo-Meets-London Vibe
A spectacular setting was needed to charm the golden thirty-somethings of the chic neighborhoods. Mission accomplished by Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio, which unveils a striking décor blending Tokyo and Soho : House of Hackney wallpaper, retro chandeliers, velvet banquettes, a monumental bar, and a blond-wood ceiling with Japanese accents. The result ? A vibrant, sensual, elegant izakaya where you dine beneath palms and neon lights in an atmosphere worthy of London’s most stylish clubs.
Roudy Petersen Leads Vesper’s Revival

In the kitchen, chef Roudy Petersen – trained under Guy Savoy and Pierre Gagnaire, and former Executive Chef for the Zuma group – reimagines the menu around bold Japanese flavors and precise technique. Expect standout dishes such as caramelised miso black cod (€42), crispy chicken with yuzu-kosho mayo (€18), addictive beef gyoza (€19), and the iconic Rock Shrimp with yuzu mayo and shiso leaf (€18).
His Master Sushi Chef delights purists with refined creations : spicy hamachi, Obsiblue prawn, chutoro… A dream for globe-trotting gourmets.
Exceptional Sake & Hypnotic Cocktails
At the bar, the head mixologist reinterprets Japanese cocktail craftsmanship with meticulous creativity. Favorites include the Rouge Geisha (mezcal, hibiscus, chili – €20) and the Matcha Fizz (infused vodka, matcha liqueur, vanilla syrup, lemon – €18). Lovers of Japanese spirits will fall for the curated selection of premium sakés, elegant junmai, floral daiginjo, and sparkling varieties, expertly chosen to pair with the chef’s dishes.
