Lumen: a Jap’ amongst the Italians

Terrace lumen restaurant

Rendezvous in a small hidden corner of dolce vita. Check it out: a wildly romanesque terrace worthy of a Mastroianni decor on a pedestrian place, right near Colette. Tops ! It is not run by Youlin Ly. The heavy weight of star studded Sola and La Maison du Saké has sent over a Japanese chef to  give their pasta a twist.

À la carte: 100% Italian, concocted with a sense of delicacy that is the claim to fame of the Japanese. Sparkling carpaccio of smoked trout with yuzu cream; calamari tagliolini and squid in; piping hot spaghetti all’amatriciana; a very good broiled duck breast… before letting yourself be won over by the mango panna cotta, mmmh.

Who do you run into? Japanese expats’ who always seem to be in the know, foodies who have already spotted a good deal and couples in face-to-face lover mood.

Special kudos to the matcha green tea tiramisu, or a great Latino-Japanese mix.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 2:30pm and from 7:30pm to 10pm.

Also discover Klay Saint Sauveur, the perfect tropicool atmosphere.
