3 new brunches to try urgently !

What could be more satisfying than those lazy Sundays that rhyme with lie-ins and breakfasts that start after noon ? The most genius invention for these chilled-out days ? The holy brunch, to book ASAP in the most beautiful spots in the capital! Among the latest must-try newcomers : an all-day brunch from Café Marlette, a 100% veggie option that’s still sexy and indulgent at Maslow Temple, and Asian-inspired delights at Red Katz.

Red Katz

The place : As bold as the red of its façade and irresistibly glam, Red Katz, located in the heart of the Sentier, awakens appetites with its flavour-packed Chinese delights. Run by an electrifying all-female trio, this sultry restaurant – with striking interiors by Studio Louis Morgan – unfolds over an XL space featuring a stunning bar, a spacious main room and three gorgeous private salons downstairs. The menu, balancing authentic Chinese dishes and modern fusion gems, now transforms into a special brunch menu every Saturday and Sunday for those craving comfort food.

The brunch : Designed as a full three-course meal, the brunch menu lets you choose from five starters, four mains and two desserts. Kick off with a basket of fragrant dim sums, a towering prawn toast sprinkled with sesame seeds, or golden baos filled with aromatic pork. The standout main ? The Creamy Shrimps, crispy yet coated in a velvety sauce you’ll want the recipe for, served with crunchy broccoli and caramelised nuts. A real curiosity: the Dong Po Benedict, a creative Asian twist on a brunch classic, a bao bun filled with melting pulled pork and a poached egg, all covered in an ultra-creamy sauce. The extra touch : The desserts are pure madness. The Marbled Lava Bao is downright addictive with its molten salted egg yolk heart, while the French Hongkong Toast raises the bar for French toast, with a dreamy layer of caramel and peanut butter. Mmm…

Red Katz, 14 rue de Cléry, Paris 2e. Brunch served Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Menu (starter, main, dessert, drink of choice – hot or cold) €48.

Café Marlette

The place : Make that two for Café Marlette ! The go-to spot for brunch lovers has opened a second Parisian address just a few metres above its original location on Rue des Martyrs. Nestled in the heart of Les Abbesses, just steps from the Sacré-Cœur, the place mirrors the vibe of its neighbourhood: warm, welcoming and filled with both locals and tourists. Whether you’re having breakfast at the wooden tables on the terrace, enjoying a cosy brunch in the five-seat alcove that feels like a holiday cabin, or grabbing a caffeine fix midday surrounded by rustic wood décor, this new spot ticks every box.

The brunch : At Marlette, there’s no extravagance, just a solid brunch served daily, featuring classic dishes executed perfectly and a menu that changes with the seasons, using quality ingredients. The feast begins with a hot drink of your choice (cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate…) and the unmissable bread basket with salted butter, jam and a fresh juice. Then comes the main event: choose between a customisable avocado toast – with soft-boiled egg, bacon, feta, marinated tomatoes or smoked salmon – a super cheesy ham-and-comté sandwich, a seasonal dish, a decadent bacon-egg-cheddar bun, or the sweet-and-savoury dream combo of pancakes with bacon and soft-boiled egg. For those who need a sweet note to end on: the homemade granola is a must.

The extra touch : The pancake and crêpe mixes available to take home right next to the counter : perfect for recreating brunch vibes in your kitchen the following weekend.

Maslow Temple

The place : Tucked in the heart of the Marais, Maslow Temple is the new veggie address attracting all of Paris’s cool crowd. After the success of their first riverside location, the trio behind Maslow are back with a spectacular space where light steals the show. Under a huge glass roof, red takes centre stage, paired with steel, wood and marble to create an incredible play of shapes and textures. With its dizzying ceiling height, you can perch on high counter-style chairs to admire the monumental chandelier, or sink into the large American diner-style banquettes for a chill session. The XXL terrace, of course, awaits the return of sunny days.

The brunch : Maslow Temple has pulled off the impossible, creating a veggie brunch that makes you forget it’s veggie at all. Start gently with a creamy latte, followed by a soft-boiled egg with seaweed caviar, whipped cream and unforgettable brioche soldiers. The subtle saline hit of the plant-based caviar is a revelation, just like the addictive Potatoes Churros Deluxe. Then, melt into the fregola risotto with comté, pure childhood comfort, before the roasted Picota peppers with gremolata and fresh herb crumb steal the spotlight. For dessert, the crêpe mille trous is irresistible, a trip to Marrakech in a bite, with apple syrup, seasonal figs and grapes.

The extra touch : If you’re nursing a hangover, order the mocktail L’Alarme,a peach shrub and sparkling pear drink with a touch of lemon and a rosebud garnish.
