Yoni Saada serves his pans bagnats dans le Marais

Bagnard Restaurant

We heard there is a lot of agitation in the trendy Marais, facing Candelaria. The reason? ExTop Chef Yoni Saada does it again with a new Bagnard antenna. Having become a must in the Bourse area, his wonderful Med cantina, that happens to produce the most terrific pan bagnat, has replaced Table Ronde. And the Do it team immediately went there to check it out.

Bistro tables, caned chairs, banquettes in duck blue velvet, his wife Alexandra signs a very trendy and elegant decor, in a more sedate spirit than the previous venue.

Cool, all the cult sandwiches are on deck, starting with the one and only, the inimitable Lulu: a fantastic pan bagnat kneaded specially by  baker  Emile et Jules, generously doused in  Kalios oil with Ortiz tuna, egg, anchovies, olives from Kalamata, €10.50. Another fave of the editorial team, the salade niçoise (€13), the signature avocado toast (€12) and the pissaladière, small  exclusivity on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (€12). To be completed with tempting plates: labné (€5.50), houmous of chickpeas (€6), mini merguez (€7) and a house lemonade maison (€3.50).

Novelties? A devilish  shakshouka (€12.99) and pasta with recipes that change every week (€13).

The plus ? The bar ambiance in the evening and upcoming brunches.
