Marcello: the new hot spot in Saint-Germain-des-Prés

The heated and hidden terrace in Odeon restaurant Marcello

Once you have settled in, you will never want to leave. Marcello, is a huge industrial loft just like in Brooklyn + charming heated terrace straight out of a Fellini   film + fab comfort-food inspired by the cafés in Torino. Hands on happiness a skip and a hop from Odéon by Marie-Lorna and Florence Vasconsin, the two sister already at the origin of Blueberry and La Bocca della Verità.

Here, it’s the dolce vita all day. Starting with really great breakfasts served 7j/7 until 4pm, appreciated in case of a bad hangover : avocado toast (6€), house croissant (4€), soft boiled eggs (2€), plump pancakes with mascarpone and orange blossom (9€), detox juice and matcha latte (7€). Yummy.

Croissant house and cafe restaurant Marcello

During the rest of the day, you can choose according to your mood and appetite: arancini with truffle (12€), piadina XXL (16€), veggie burger (19 €), vitello tonnato (12€), tiramisu (11€), cheesecake (10€). A must taste, their « poor man’s oysters », absolutely divine lemon tartines, anchovies (8€) to nibble on while sipping a Spritz as well as stunning mozzarella fritters. Tops also, their tramezzine, small sandwiches made with ultra light « cloud » bread, specially kneaded by MOF Frédéric Lalos.

We adore: the cocooning sofas to nestle in with an   authentic Italian café and large tables of buddies in the evening with the outdoor option on a paved courtyard. Way to go!

Open every day from 8am until midnight.
