Do It In Paris declares rooftop season officially open! Once again this year, new spots are blooming atop the Parisian skyline, each boasting the best view in town. Tried and tested, here’s our list of the latest sky-high apéro spots that’ll take you up to cloud nine…
La Fondation
The place: Head up to the rooftop of the Hôtel La Fondation, the new luxury hot spot in Batignolles, which brings together stylish rooms, two restaurants, a pool, a spa, and even a climbing wall (yes, all that). Located on the 9th floor, the rooftop offers a 360-degree view of Paris, from the Eiffel Tower to Sacré-Cœur. Glass railings allow you to take in the city from cozy white couches. The setting is minimalist, blending wood and greenery, with touches of marble and designer chairs. Heads up: no reservations here, so come early to snag a seat.
On the menu: Watch the sunset while sipping delicious signature cocktails (€22) like Vue sur la Rosée (vodka infused with rose water, raspberry juice, lychee purée, lemon juice, homemade sugar syrup) or Verveine Soleil (gin, peach juice, Suze, lemon verbena, lemon juice, sugar syrup). Spritz lovers can go for the Spritz rouge with tomato liqueur and basil (€20) or the Spritz Fondation (Saint Germain, raspberry juice, mint leaf). Gather around the fire pits that light up summer nights while waiting for their kitchen to open next week!
Rooftop de La Fondation, 40 rue Legendre, Paris 17th. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight.
La Terraza Mikuna
The place: A favorite hangout of the Marais fashion crowd, the BHV reveals on its 7th floor a brand-new look for its now-iconic rooftop, now expanded with a fresh new space. Perfectly perched in a central neighborhood right across from the Hôtel de Ville, Terraza Mikuna spans over 300 m² on the newly inaugurated floor. The terrace offers an unobstructed panoramic view of all of Paris, and the chic yet laid-back décor by Louis Morgan studio perfectly captures the Latin-inspired vibrancy of the venue. A stunning view and stylish setting that draw you in and tempt you to indulge in sky-high treats.
Must-orders: Ice-cold cocktails and tapas that transport you straight to Latin America! Start your journey with the floral Abricotier (vodka, mezcal, rose, raspberry, apricot and rosé, €16) or the Basilico (tequila, basil, cucumber, Timut pepper, €16). To keep the good vibes going, try the delicious Maïcito with nachos (€10), crispy beef rice (€15), or the addictive beef tacos that melt in your mouth (€16). Yum! From the sea, the razor clams with chipotle and chili-infused beurre blanc surprise (€16), but the standout is the mango tuna tataki with its Oyster sauce (€18). Still have room? The little Pavlova de Maracuya (€10) makes a perfect sweet finish to this sky-high feast.
Terraza Mikuna, 1 rue des Archives, Paris 4th. Rooftop open daily from 7:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Golden Hour at The Peninsula
The place: A luxury terrace for a drink in the clouds—such is the promise of the rooftop perched on the top floor of The Peninsula. Just beyond the L’Oiseau Blanc restaurant, led by the talented Chef David Bizet, this little slice of paradise serves stunning cocktails. This summer, the well-known rooftop of the elegant set, boasting a jaw-dropping Eiffel Tower view (don’t miss their special event for the July 14th fireworks), debuts a new vibe with colorful Missoni Home-patterned couches from Roche Bobois. It doesn’t get more magical at sunset, especially to a bespoke playlist curated by Bon Entendeur. Our tip? Arrive by 6 p.m. to secure a spot.
Must-orders: Executive Chef David Bizet serves up refined small plates perfect for sharing. Sea bass crudo with salsa macha and roasted peanuts (€36), vitello tonnato (€36), silky marinated shrimp with citrus and smoked chili (€38), beef carpaccio with burrata and black olives (€32) — all paired with exquisite signature cocktails (€34) like the delicate Voyage à Saint-Domingue (rum, white vermouth, banana, citrus, almond) or Sous les Lys (gin, Italicus, almond, lime, basil, Prosecco). Dress code: elegant!
Rooftop “Golden Hour” at The Peninsula, 19 avenue Kléber, Paris 16th. No reservations. Open daily, weather permitting, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dishes served from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Auteuil Brasserie
The place: This spot needs no introduction to the chic west Paris crowd. But with a new year comes a new look! For a perfect sunset in one of the capital’s most elegant districts, Auteuil Brasserie just got a makeover evoking a Riviera vacation. The iconic 16th arrondissement address now features a warm, refined new design in Mediterranean hues: lush palm trees and bougainvillea bloom on its cozy rooftop, now more vibrant than ever.
Must-orders: The summer apéro mood definitely calls for a signature cocktail like the spectacular With Love topped with a gorgeous foam dome (vodka infused with sumac, Fusetti bitter, vanilla syrup, verjus, grapefruit, vegan foamer, fresh mint, €15). For mezze, go for the charcoal-grilled broccolini on a bed of tahini (€11.50), the pidés—especially the one with kefta (€15.50), or the Iberian croquettes with chorizo (€10.50). For mains, honey sauce softens the irresistible Shish-taouk skewers (€23.50), unless you prefer the freshness of a sea bass crudo (€24.50). For dessert, the blackcurrant and red fruit sundae with meringue is the perfect sweet finale.
Auteuil Brasserie, 78 rue d’Auteuil, Paris 16th. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
