Courtois Paris: the perfect address for a stylish hat

Boutique Courtois Paris

The common denominator in Paris between Kate Winslet in Titanic, Vivien Leigh in Gone with the Wind, Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman? All are wearing a hat that makes them both powerful and distinguished. And in order to be inspired by the timeless style of these cinema icons, we have found the perfect address.

The French haberdasher Courtois Paris has just inaugurated its third boutique at the heart of the Marais, on the hip Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. Old mirrors, stone walls and traditional hat moulds in wood immediately make visitors dive in a very special and intimate ambiance.

On the programme: a very up-to-date and 100 % Made in France collection with panamas, sun hats, cap, visors, bell hats and boaters that will be ideal for chic weddings and sun-filled summer luncheons. You are not sure hats suit your style. Impossible is not Courtois: you will receive personalized advice on which shape to choose in keeping with your face features.

Our favourites: the blue or red Saint Rémy panama (€270), the amazing Sicile sunhat (€180), the pink Toulouse panama (€220), the Speron cap (€240) and the Buenos Aires panama (€250). Suddenly there is an urge to take off on a far-flung trip, no?

A customization service

To be noted: while waiting for the new premises to be fully operational, services for hat personalization are available in the next door boutique at 17 Rue de Sévigné. And, in addition, Do It Yourself events are planned every first Sunday of the month with breakfast and flower crown workshops from 10:30am to 12:30pm (€95 per person, 10 persons max).

Open every day from 10:30am to 7pm.
