Hurray for gluten-free French toast!

Pain Perdu Gluten Free

Here is the ideal no-gluten recipe for a guiltless Mardi Gras.

For 4 persons

Preparation: 30 minutes

Cooking: 35 mn

Preparation

For the bread dough

Sift the flour and the Maïzena®. Then in a salad bowl, mix the warm water, the flour, the Maïzena® corn flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Form a ball, allow to sit at room temperature for about 2 hours. Knead the dough and reshape a ball, place it on the oven plaque, slightly sprinkled with flour and allow the dough to rise for about 1 hour.

Bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes and set aside.

For the French toast

Cut up 2 cm thick no-gluten slices of bread and dip them in the mix of milk-sugar-egg. Let the bread soak, then in a non-sticking pan melt a little butter and allow the bread slices to color slowly.

Serve warm, and add a dash of honey and fresh raspberries.
